Of Earth, Sky, and Everyone in Between

Introduction: The Arrival

As the caravan made it's way down the nearly empty highway, Leo Byrd sake awake in his trailer, thinking. There were a thousand things bouncing around in his head, and no matter what he tried he could not settle his thoughts.

It's no use, he thought to himself as he sat on his bed, I don't see any way of getting any sleep tonight.

As if to punctuate this thought, the truck towing him made a sudden stop. The trailer gave a sudden lurch, and Leo landed in a pile on the floor, cursing for all he was worth. He quickly sat up, stormed across the room, throwing open a window. No doubt about it, he thought, This has to be the worst part of being in the circus.

He stuck his head through the window, and cursed again. The entire caravan had come to a complete stop because of a rather large traffic accident a short distance away. As he turned his head to view the scene, he noticed a large sign off to his left which read:

Welcome to Columbus

Leo groaned.
