Andrew Young, NC Line, #S30812, he applied August 26, 1833 in Washington Co., KY having lived there since 1798. Enlisted in Mecklenburg Co., NC.

Alexander Young, SC Line, #S35755, he applied July 21, 1818 in Floyd Co., KY, in 1820 soldier had a wife Nancy aged 61 on May 5, 1820 and he stated he was/would be 62 on October 20, 1820, in 1824 soldier had no living children, soldier's sister Margret McCrary was of Floyd Co., KY in 1819, in 1826 one Robert M. George of Floyd Co., KY states soldier had married his (Robert M's) aunt.

Archibald Young (Included here because he enlisted in the same place as Andrew Young, above.), VA Line, Sarah, #W206, soldier applied August 31, 1818 in Giles Co., TN aged 64, soldier had enlisted in Pittsylvania Co., VA, soldier m. Sarah Powell, June 9, 1769 in Mecklenburg Co., NC and soldier died November 12, 1834, widow applied July 3, 1843 in Giles Co., TN aged 92, children were: Elizabeth b. April 20, 1771, Pendleton b. March 1, 1774, Jarrett b. April 18, 1785, Haley b. February 8, 1788, Archibald b. June 12, 1790, Frances b. May 13, 1793 and Sarah b. March 6, 1797, soldier's widow died January 28, 1850 leaving only 2 children: Frances Smith and Sarah Meadows.

Christian Young, VA Line, #R19323, soldier was b. in 1764 in Washington Co., PA, soldier lived near Louisville in Jefferson Co., KY when he enlisted and he lived there several years after the Rev War then moved to Nelson Co., KY for 3 or 4 years then returned to Jefferson Co., KY and in 1835 he moved to Union Co., KY for 2 years then moved to Caldwell Co., KY in 1837 and he applied there April 16, 1838, soldier stated he had also lived in Union Co., KY for 4 years about 1817 to 1821.

Jacob Young, NC Line, #S31506, soldier lived in Mecklenburg Co., NC when he enlisted, he applied October 15 1832 in Shelby Co., KY, aged about 68.

Jaret Young, SC Line, #S16304, soldier was born in 1762 in VA but was raised in Camden Dsitrict, SC the part that later became Chester Co., SC and he lived there when he enlisted and afterwards moved to the state of KY and in 1811 he moved to Posey Co. in the IN Territory then moved to Knox Co., IN where he lived when he applied September 7, 1832 and soldier died there January 10, 1835 at the home of this son-in-law Peter Hollingsworth and at his death he left 4 children in Knox Co., IN and 2 other children who had not been heard from in 5 years, in 1832 a Daniel Hollingsworth was of Knox Co., IN but no realtionaship to soldier's son-in-law was stated.

John Young, NC Line, Cynthia, #W9042, soldier was born in Augusta Co., VA the 2nd year after Braddock's defeat, a few years before the Revolutionary War the soldier moved to Sullivan Co., NC where he lived when he enlisted and he lived there a few years after the war then moved to the state of KY, he applied February 15, 1833 in Fayette Co., KY aged 72, soldier had m. Cynthia McCullough Octoer 21, 1790 in Washington Co., VA, soldier died December 13, 1837, Widow applied September 30, 1841 in Fayette Co., KY aged upwards of 77, children were referred to but no names were given. (Webmaster's note: this whole family, ancestors and descendants up into the 1900's, can be found in the book John Young, KY Pioneer and His Kin, by Jessamine Young Wooton.)

John Young, VA Line, #S16588, soldier was born in 1757 in Scotland and he came to America in 1767 with his parents and they settled in Rockingham Co., VA where he lived until several years after the Revolutionary War then moved to Charlestown, VA for 6 years then moved to the state of KY for 4 years and in 1811 he moved to Clark Co., IN where he lived when he applied October 17, 1832, soldier died February 23, 1844 leaving a widow Ann Margaret who died in July 1844 in Scott Co., IN, on March 27, 1853 a son James Young signed POA

John Young, VA Line, #R11962, soldier was born February 22, 1752 or 1753 in Orange Co., VA soldier applied October 21, 1839 in Bracken Co., KY, soldier lived in Henry Co., VA when he enlisted.

John Young, VA Line also Indian War service in KY, #S30811, BLW Reg #275729-1855, soldier was a son of Reuben Young and was born August 24, 1764 and soldier's father was stationed at Fredericksburg, VA in charge of a magazine during the Rev War and served under his brother Qtr Mstr Richard Young, the son John was the oldest son of Richard Young and he (John) enlisted in Spotsylvania Co., VA and in the fall of 1782 he went to KY with his uncle Richard Young but returned to Spotsylvania Co., VA where he was married to Mary Moore on March 12, 1784 or 1785 and in the fall of 1787 they moved to KY and he served from there against the Indians, soldier was a minister in the Baptist Church from 1796 to 1807, in 1806 soldier settled in Greenup Co., KY and was aged 87 in 1857, in 1842 one Mary C. Lee of Mason Co., KY aged 71 stated she had lived in Fredericksburg, VA with her father Richard Young at the time her uncle John Young served in the Revolutionary War.

Joseph Young, PA Line, Elizabeth, #W628, soldier was born March 3, 1762 in Morris Co., NJ and he lived at Redstone PA when he enlisted and in 1784 he moved to the state of KY and later lived in AL and TN then returned to KY, he applied December 2, 1833 in Spencer Co., KY, soldier married Elizabeth Stillwell April 23, 1789 in Nelson Co., KY, soldier died March 11, 1839 in Hopkins Co., KY and his widow applied there February 13, 1843 aged 67, the following were shown but no kinship to soldier's family was stated, to wit: in 1833 Abigail Stillwell aged 69 the daughter of Thomas Reed was of Spencer Co., KY as was Caleb Reed who was born August 28, 1756 and Joshua Reed who was born October 29, 1757 and they had known soldier as a child and had lived some 35 miles form Hannah's Town PA.

Michael Young, NC Line, #S35758, he applied December 20, 1830 in Pulaski Co., KY aged 75 with a wife (not named) and they lived with a son Solomon Young and had lived with this son some 10 or 11 years, soldier stated he had 5 sons and 4 daughters that were married and scattered over the country.

Nathan Young, VA Line, #S35756, he applied May 22, 1818 in Scott Co., KY aged 106 years.

Ralph Young, VA Line, #S31507, he applied January 28, 1833 in Warren Co., KY aged 73, soldier was born in Lunenburg Co., VA and he lived there when he enlisted.

Reuben Young, VA Line, Ann, #W9041, a John Willis aged 53 made affidavit in Greenup Co., KY in 1843 and stated he moved with his father to KY and settled on a farm adjoining Reuben Young and that soldier's widow Ann and her son-in-law Samuel Whorten stated the Revolutionary soldier Reuben Young died in the state of MO in 1832 and that in 1835 soldier's widow was living with her son-in-law Samuel Wharton and he stated John Young was soldier's oldest child, on May 16, 1851 soldier's son the Rev. John Young made affidavit in Greenup Co., KY aged 87 and he stated his father Reuben Young had died in MO in 1838 leaving a widow Ann and children who in 1851 were: himself John Young aged 87, Lewis Young aged 65, Joel Young aged 63 and Lucy Wharton aged 60, soldiers widow Ann had died July 18, 1842, soldier had married Ann Wharton in 1762 in Orange Co., VA and they settled in Spotsylvania Co., VA, soldier died in Boone Co., MO, a Mary Young aged 81 made affidavit May 16, 1851 in Greenup Co., KY, soldier's widow Ann (Wharton) Young had applied September 8, 1843 in Greenup Co., KY aged 45 and was referred to as the young widow, solider and widow had 11 children of which only 4 were living in 1843, to wit: John Young in Greenup Co., KY, Joel Young in Woodford Co., KY, Lewis Young and Lucy Wharton in the state of MO, a Joseph D. Collens was the administrator of soldier's estate but no kinship was stated, soldiers' son John was born August 24, 1764, there were 2 pages of Bible records but only a small portion was legible, to wit: Buller A. Y. Willis married Jno Willis May 15, 1821, Molly Ann O. Raison born October 24, ye ?, Julia Raison born in October 1827, Mary M. Antoinett Raison born February 1, 1812, Shophia M. T. Raison born March 29, 1814, Betsey Y. Raison born January 5, 1816, Lewis M. Raison son-in-law born June 3, 1786. Robert Young, VA Line, Judith, #W3063, BLW #1860-200, soldier married Judith Tebbs (a Willaim Tebbs signed marriage bond with soldier on May 17, 1780 in Prince William Co., VA) the daughter of Capt. William Tebbs on May 18, 1780 and she was also referred to as Judy Tebbs, soldier was born in Prince William Co., VA and he lived there when he enlisted and soldier died there May 4, 1790 leaving his widow Judith H. (Tebbs) Young and children: Thomas, Robert, Samuel, Heath, Margaret and Willoughby Tebbs Young and in the fall of 1791 widow moved with her 5 children to Mason Co., KY and she applied there January 13, 1841 aged 83 and she lived there until 1848, children's data shown was: Samuel Heath Young was deceased in 1832 and never married, Margaret (Young) married a Mr. Cooke and she was a widow in 1832 and in 1841 she was aged 56 and living Mason Co., KY and her daughter Mary J. Cooke was of Mason Co., KY in 1843, Willoughby Tebbs Young was born in 1780 shortly after his father's death and in 1832 he was an attorney in Mason Co., KY, Thomas and Robert Young were both of KY in 1840, soldier's brother Thomas Young served as a Captain in the VA Line and in 1832 was living Mason Co., KY one Hugh Brent who was born Janury 18, 1773 in Prince William Co., Va stated in 1841 in Bourbon Co., KY that soldier married his eldest sister, widow's nephew A. Sidney Tebbs was an attorney in Loudon Co., VA in 1843, a Charles B. Attwell who was born and raised in Prince William Co., VA stated in Loudon Co., VA that soldier was the half brother of his father and that soldier's widow was his father's cousin but did not give his father's name, in 1841 one William T. Tebbs was of Mason Co., KY but no relationshp was given.

Thomas Young, VA Line, #S11921, soldier lived in Prince William Co., VA when he enlisted and in 1783 he moved to KY, he applied August 14, 1832 in Mason Co., KY a resident of Maysville, KY, soldier died April 22, 1837 leaving no widow or children; soldier's brother Robert Young survived soldier but had died many years prior to 1842 leaving children; (Thomas Young who was deceased in 1842 leaving 4 sons: W. H., James M., Thomas M. or Thomas L. & William C. Young), (Margaret Young Cook the widow of an L. Cook in 1842), (Willoughby T. Young who was deceased in 1842 leaving 1 child Ann Maria the wife of George M. Proctor of Maysville, KY), & (Robert Young who was living in 1842), in 1848 a James W. Young was administrator of soldier's estate.

William Young, NC Line, #S4737, soldier was born in 1761 in the state of PA and he lived in NC when he enlisted and lived there for 4 or 5 years after the Revolutionary War then moved to KY and in 1824 he moved to Henry Co., TN where he lived when he applied September 7, 1832, soldier referred to his cousin also named William Young who lived 200 miles from him but was also in the state of KY, the administrator of soldier's estate received final payment on November 1, 1844 and was paid to June 20, 1838.

William Young, NC Line, #S31505, soldier volunteered in Rowan Co., NC and in the fall of 1787 he moved to KY, he applied August 10, 1832 in Adair Co., KY aged 72 and he was pensioned as William Young 2nd, soldier died July 11, 1838 leaving children whose names were not given, soldier had referred to a cousin also named William Young who lived in the western part of TN some 200 miles from him.

William Young, SC Line, Rejected claim no #, on August 31, 1860 in Hardeman Co., TN soldier's daughter Catherine Ragan aged nearly 85 applied for herself and her brother Samuel Young aged nearly 78 a resident of Newberry District, SC and she stated they were the only surviving children of deceased soldier, soldier had lived in Newberry District, SC for many years and about 1822 moved to Christian Co., KY for 3 or 4 years then moved to Hardeman Co., TN for 5 or 6 years then moved to Perry Co., TN and died there 1837 aged 105 years.

William Young, VA Line, #S14913, soldier lived in Fauquier Co., VA when he enlisted and in 1789 he moved to Nelson Co., KY and in 1805 he moved to Muhlenburg Co., KY where he lived when he applied August 27, 1832 aged 77.
