Description:	A strange reflection of her person, Shyxqua’s appearance is dominated by the contrast between her deep black skin and her bright green feathers and horns. Her eyes, centered just above her long muzzle, are a bottomless green. These orbs are as unreadable and mischievous as the rest of her face, which is accented by a thin cryptic mouth and little nose spike, and framed by a crest of sharp horns. The rest of her body is lithe and smooth, but for the furred area around her pawed forelegs. Shyxqua’s hind legs and tail are nondescript, though her tail is flexible enough to be expressive and she sports exotically green claws. She lacks any kind of marking, artificial or otherwise, on any part of her body.
Personality:	Shyxqua is a sort of morbid dragon, though not to the point that anyone really notices, because she is also discrete when she can manage to pull it off. What she is really interested in is those who are already dead, an obsession which stems from a short connection that she experienced with her former caretaker, Hina Athkelaw, just after the woman’s death. Since then, Shyxqua has been trying to discover the point where life and death meet... Besides that, this dragoness is fairly peaceful. She doesn’t really believe in outright fighting, though she is not opposed to using her cunning and strength to survive if she has to. Few things scare Shyxqua, besides the loss of those she loves. She tends shy away from friendships because of this, but not entirely. Her fear causes conflict in her if nothing else, and Shyxqua cannot seem to find the balance between them, but she doesn’t let it stop her. For perhaps the grandest characteristic of Shyxqua is her determination. Once she has gotten something into her head there is slim chance that anyone or anything will be able to stop her. She is always calculating, and usually has a question or two for any creature deemed trust worthy.
History:	Shyxqua was adopted from the EverRealm by Jhiirsai when she was very young, one of a small group of Whorlings. Upon her arrival at Jhiirsai, Shyxqua was given into the care of Hina Athkelaw. Hina was an adventurer, and a die hard frontierswoman, and as soon as she deemed Shyxqua old enough, the two of them departed for the wilds of Jhiirsai. It was during this time that Shyxqua gained her determination and adaptability, and learned to trust the guidance of her caretaker. The bond that Hina and Shyxqua shared grew strong during their time alone, and it would be their loyalty which would ultimately save them both from the dangers of their wandering. Even so, past the beauty and wealth which Shyxqua and Hina sought together, Jhiirsai held many dangers, enchanted and untamed. It was only a matter of time until the pair ran into something that they couldn’t handle, and when that time came it was the dark Blaaran that they met, beings who had been swept up in a war with Hina’s people for decades. They were unprepared, and their lax vigilance almost cost them their lives. After a short scuffle, Hina and Shyxqua were separated, but while Shyxqua could have easily flown to safety, she searched out her caretaker. After a night or two, Shyxqua was once more attacked by the Blaaran and it was Hina who saved the little Whorling. Together they limped away from the fight, and managed to escape together, though Hina was badly wounded. The two made it back to the closest Jhiirsaiian city and spread the news of the Blaaran advancement. As the others prepared for battle, Hina was cared for by the city’s healer. Despite his experience and the various spells he used on the woman, nothing could heal the wounds that she had sustained. It was soon deduced that the injuries were magical, and thus there was nothing more to do for the woman but wait. A small house was procured for Hina and her charge, and it was there that Shyxqua watched her friend fade and die. The next few days, filled with ceremonies and sympathizers, were little more than a blur to Shyxqua, whose mourning heart refused to be comforted. When the obsequies were finished, however, something rather strange occurred to the Whorling, something which would change her life forever. Shyxqua was guided into the ancient spirit temple and received a vague message from her caretaker. Soon after this, when Shyxqua was able to catch up on her sleep, the dragoness set about searching out the meaning of this message. She became consumed with the idea of connecting with the afterworld. Through her attempts she picked up some powerful spells, but failed to accomplish the kind of communication that she experienced in the the temple. Hina’s meaning did become clear, however, as something of a surprise for Shyxqua, when the dragoness was introduced to several Nexus spacers. Not having been in space since her original trip to Jhiirsai, Shyxqua was interested in looking through the spacer’s computer database, checking out information on the various places that they had been to. It was while she was in the midst of doing this, that Shyxqua discovered a picture that matched the image that Hina had sent her. Inquiring about the picture, the dragoness uncovered her caretaker’s message. The place was called Cy, and like many of the frequented orbs of the Nexus, offered bonding ceremonies, and what interested Shyxqua even more, held the Bipedra. The event brought all sorts of dark dragons together for one brilliant flight, and bonded away their offspring. Though Shyxqua herself was far from being evil, the thought of a bond more like herself, rather than the cheery dragons that she had seen around the city, was tempting. If anything, it would be an exciting thing... and Shyxqua wanted to feel some of the rush that she had once felt with Hina. Putting aside her magic for the time being, Shyxqua got herself off world and headed to Cy and hopefully some adventure...
