"Arram Chxalli, come here this instance!" Arram could not believe this... really, couldn't he get away with anything?! The dragon turned slowly around to face his angry elder, who was not only glaring daggers at him but sending a barrage of waving reds and blacks in his direction, reiterating her anger all the more powerfully in his mindscape. "Yes?" He asked innocently. "I think you know why I called you over here," The older dragon lifted a lip in a slight snarl- but Arram forced himself to ignore the expression. He needed to figure out someway to explain to her why he had broken all the seals on the ancient World Books (assuming that that was what she was talking about) or why he had burned the pages out of that old spell book... more importantly, he needed to figure out why she was mad at him. "I am sure that I don't," he replied shortly, staring down at his feet and hoping to all the spirits that the dragoness would tell him. "The bugs you let loose in Kimana's lunch, Arram...." The old creature growled, exasperated. Oh, that... that had been hours ago, and they were still angry about it? Arram could never figure out any of his teachers... especially this old hag. He guessed it was what came of teaching the cennava, all those old books must have gone to her head. "And the library's ruined computers..." "Oh," Arram said suddenly, not wanting her to go on. "Those bugs... Kimana and I, we were doing a project together... for another class, and we were supposed to find those. And I was just giving them to Kimana... just like I was supposed to and..." Arram was running out of excuse for this one... he needed to switch to the other. "And the database- I was just doing some research when... and someone spilled their drink... there were sparks, ma'am... and I didn't know what..." "Arram," Arram stopped as suddenly as he had begun, shocked into silence by the gruff voice which beckoned him from behind. It was Sayen, his caretaker, and dragon that he respected greatly. Arram didn't like to lie when Sayen was around. "Sayen," the older dragon said politely. "I take it that you can handle this?" "Of course," Sayen said, dismissing the dragoness. Arram watched the female disappear before turning to face Sayen. The tall dragon had an unreadable look on his face, and his mind was closed to Arram- which frightened the young dragon. He hated to make Sayen mad... to disappoint him. It wasn't his fault, but nonetheless... "Arram," Sayen said again. "I didn't come here to yell at you... though I should think that there is good reason for a scolding. I came here to tell you that it is time for you to go to your bonding." Arram couldn't believe his good luck. He wasn't expecting this so early- and he hadn't cleaning things up the way that he had wanted to, but it was definitely better than getting any kind of scolding from Sayen. |
