Well hello there, I see you actually made it to my request for...well, what other pirate pet are you adopting out? Naturally, Meya is the one from whom I seek to be blessed with her presence. But let's not get too hasty. We'll start with names.
You may call me Intox, short for intoxication, which shall be explained later. I gather from your lookup that your name is Angel (very exciting, since my best friend's name is Angel; she's been my friend since 1st grade), and that you enjoy web designing. It's quite intimidating, since this is only the second time I've attemped some semblance of a page and making my own graphics, but I hope it'll do; I'm not a great web-master, though for sake of Meya I will put myself out on a limb. Enough about that though, we now know each other.
Now I would like you to know Meya. At least, as I see her.

You've probably seen female pirate pets everywhere; if you haven't then I have. I happen to notice something consistent about all of them; all of them are the same. Of course, it would be an absolute disgrace and abomination to have Meya join the lot as so. She is not your typical kick-butt in-your-face pirate wench, not at all.
Oddly enough, Meya is a surprisingly cultured pirate, gifted in many tongues (due to her extensive travel), and cunningly resourceful. Her area of...employment, shall we say, lies not in the Carribean, the location of other pirates' haunts, but in the waters of the Orient. Thus, her manners and such are heavily influenced by exotic sources. She seeks not your ordinary treasure, but one worthwhile; you could say she is still searching, in fact. Meya keeps this to herself much of the time, though she is freely talkative in almost everything else.
And why did she start her life of piracy? Well, you'd have to ask her that yourself.

There's just the basics for you. I do a lot of things on Neo other than roleplay, though a lot of what I do supports that roleplay. Recently(as in, 2 weeks ago), me and my friend decided to start our own guild, a roleplay guild with it's own forums. Now, we're at 80 members and growing. I'd like Meya to be a part of that community, if possible.

Meya's family will be a mixture of personalities; if she doesn't like one, she can simply go to the other. Here's just a small description of them:
Meliandia--fiery tempered faerie gelert Meli is. Her girlish looks only serve to put a stranger off guard, beware!
Aristloe--Cheerful firefly wisha whose patron is none other than the fire faerie herself.
Takomoa--A timid river spirit; Komoa was not originally of the water; she was banished into it, and so now she's uncomfortable with both land and sea.

Naturally, Meya would receive a petpet. It's a given, really, and in fact, Ginseng, her little faellie, has already been purchased in preparation for her. You can look at Ginseng here.
Cute hmm? Yes, I realize the one in my shop is unpainted, but it was hard enough tugging the prices back down without making a painted petpet complicating things further. Faellie prices have gotten a bit inflated lately.
In any case, I have about enough for a pirate petpet paint brush. I would like to wait until I get Meya though; I prefer she painted Ginseng herself.

Meya is a very independent aisha; the conditions of her occupancy require a lot of it in comparison to other jobs. She's very skilled and dexterous with her fingers, but can wield heavier objects as well. Her appearance is affected by the area she works in; She wears the kimono or robe of Japan, bears the kris (a swirly bladed knife) from Indonesia, and pretty black shoes from China. Her travelling is extensivel and she is rarely on land.

The bustling crowds along the market provided the perfect haven for this little lady to work undercover. One of the last fading pirates of the Orient, more prosecuted now than just a few years ago, Meya was troubled by the town being overrun with authorities lately. Had they caught on? She eyed her little faellie, Ginseng, warily. Around her shortened kimono was a satchet, filled to the brim with little baubles she planned to pawn off for a quick meal or two as well as money for ship repairs.
Meya sat in a small restaurant in the far end of the town, famished and starving. She ordered everything that seemed remotely appetizing on the menu, making the waiter's eyebrows skyrocket.
"May I see the color of your money, ma'am?" he inquired suspiciously.
"Sure," the aisha flipped a piece of shiny yellow in front of the waiters face, then placed it on the table, "Go ahead, I'll even pay my bill ahead of time." The waiter nodded emphatically and rushed off, before the giver of the gold could change his/her mind.
Meya giggled to herself at this little drama--it was fool's gold, after all.

This being my first ever attempted blog layout, I'm a bit self-conscious about it. And nervous. Anyway, I suppose you need contact information!

This is a small addendum to the application I added after I turned it in; apparently, my friend saw fit to make fanart for Meya. ;) Here's the result. I too can draw, but my scanner's currently broken, otherwise Meya would have art from me too. Here's an example of my art though.
