The Rite of Self Dedication

The following rite is for those seeking to become one with the Mother Goddess & the Father God. To give one self to the helping and teaching of the ways of the Craft.
Many say there are firsts and how to's to begin. I believe that beginning began long before your path brought you here. Here you take your faltering steps in giving and caring back to what you have learned and felt.Your asking not only to be one with the Lord and Lady of Light, but for them to be one with you. Welcome to you .

The following is a rite for the solitaire Begin by bathing yourself herbal ritual bath (element water) to purify your spirit & body of negative vibrations. As you bath, cleanse your mind of all mundane, negative and unpleasant thoughts, and meditate until your body is totally relaxed.
After bathing, cast on the floor a circle of about six feet in diameter, using white chalk. Sprinkle a little salt (element earth) over the circle to consecrate it, and say:

With salt I consecrate and bless this circle in the divine name of the goddess and her consort, the horned god.
Blessed Be!

Finish castig you circle, then when you are finished, sit in the center of your circle, facing north, with two white candles (element fire) & frankincense and myrrh incense (element air) before you. Some prefer to do this rite skyclad. If you feel uncomfortable with this. A white ceremonial robe is also suitable. light the incense, and light one candle, and say:

"I invoke and call upon thee O mother Goddess, creatress of life and soul of the infinite universe.
By candle flame and incense smoke
To bless this rite do I thee invoke.
And to grant me admittance to thy company.
That of love and fae I wish there to be
O beautiful Goddess of life and rebirth
Cerridwen, Astarte, Athena, Brigit, Diana, Isis, Melusine, Aphrodite, in all your names I will serve
In this consecrate circle of candlelight I do pledge myself
To honour thee, love thee, and to serve
In your name I now take these vows:
I promise to respect and obey the law of love unto all living things.
I promise never to reveal craft secrets to any man or woman not the same path;
and I swear to abide by the wiccan rede;
"an it harm none, do what thou wilt."
O goddess, queen of all witches, I do open my heart and soul to thee.
I do wish for your protection,
So mote it be!"
Light the second candle, and say:
"I invoke and call upon thee
O Great Horned god of Pagans,
Lord of all the green woodlands
Father to all things wild and free.
By candle flame and incense smoke
To guide this rite I thee invoke.
O Great Horned God of Death
And all that come after
Who is known as Cernunnos, Attis, Pan, Daghda, Faunus, Frey, Odin, Lupercus, and by many other names,
In this consecrate circle of candlelight
I do pledge myself to honour thee, to love thee, and to serve thee well for as long as you will I shall live.
O great horned God of Peace and Love
I do open my heart and soul to thee.
Praying your acceptance,
So mote it be!"

Hold your open hands up to the heavens. Close your eyes and visualize two white beams of glowing light streaking down from the sky and flowing into your palms. A warm, feeling will begin to spread throughout your body as the power of the Goddess and the God purifies your soul.
Remain in the consecrate circle until both of the candles and the incense have burned themselves out. The Wiccan Rite of Self-Initiation is now ended. Be not afraid if you hear a voice or voices . Some say the God/ess speaks to you and welcomes you to her path.
