Miss World Taiwan 2005 finalists
simply spectacular!!!
8 out of 19 are university graduates;
the average height is 5’10”; age between 18 to 25 yrs. This year’s
Miss World Taiwan contestants wow the
press. You only can imagine words like spectacular or stunning to

The winners of
the pageant will go on represent Taiwan in
Miss World and Miss Earth. The swimsuit
competition was
held recently, girls showed off their
slim figures and long

Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2005 was held
under Amber Storm alert last night. The extreme weather condition did
not stop the show to shine. As promised the
show looked glamorous and spectacular. After five thrilling rounds,
crown favour Ip Chui-chui took the
honour of Miss Hong Kong 2005, who also bagged home the Miss Charity
Award.1st runner up was won
by dark house Luk Sze-Wan, a flight attendance. The biggest favour of the
night,
Lam-Lee was named 2nd runner
up.
The popular newly crown Miss Hong Kong
Ip Chui-Chui told the press she was thrilled, did not expect to win
at all, in an after-show event. Her
father was on the stage to cheer her up, after hearing the host read out
her name in loud, her arms were held on
his father, and tears dropped. “I’m so exciting, I was expect to be
named runner up, I was stunned, this
isn’t happening. I’m absolutely thrilled!” Luk Sze-Wan, who expects
to represent Hong Kong in Miss World,
was confident in her achievement. Told the press that the outcome
was in her expectation. Crown favour Lam
lee, told the press she did not disappoint in the result, was satisfied
with her performance during the final
telecast.
The theme of the final stage was
based on the idea of fairytale palace. The show was spectacular and glamour.
During the opening, twenty
contestants walked onto the sparkling stage elegantly in their Victorian style
evening
gowns. The show features beautiful
gowns, tiny bikinis and personality outfits. Twenty was narrowed down
to ten at the half period of the
show. Top ten were interviewed by the hosts, so that, a final five were called
onto stage, supporting by their
families. Miss Goodwill International
and Miss Photogenic were also presented
during the final telecast, won
by #7 and # 14 respectively.
The final was also raised some controversies, one particular judge
was given confused responds to the press,
after being asked what is the strength of Ip Chui-chui over Lam
lee? Who states: “I don’t very sure; it is not
very conveniences to comment under this circumstance.”
Master student
crowned Miss Taiwan 2005
The third annual Miss Taiwan Beauty Contest is concluded in a
rather spectacular event, described as very Taiwanese. The
winner of the contest is 23 year old, Master student, Miss Liu.
Her role as Miss Taiwan will start immediately; Miss Liu will
spend a year to fulfil her duty as an ambassador of Taiwan,
promote Taiwan aboard and at home. The contest is run by the
Taiwan Beauty Association, recently rumoured that it has gained
Miss Universe Taiwan franchise. Fifteen Taiwanese women
vied for the title and reported all from the South.
Sparkling crown

Miss Hong Kong 2005 will be held on Saturday 20th
August.
Twenty finalists are on the final preparation for the big night.
TVB has released the crown of Miss Hong Kong 2005 to the
press. The crown is made by diamonds and valued at
HK$1,600,000. The new Miss Hong Kong will become an
ambassador of Hong Kong, spending a year to travel around
the globe promoting Hong Kong tourism and economy.
The theme of the final stage will replica the Victorian Palace,
twenty finalists will wear the Victorian style gowns during the
opening. The final night promises to be glamour and magnificent.

Fala Chen, runner up to Miss Chinese
International 2005, appeared in a fashion show in Hong Kong recently;
she told the press that she has already
signed a contract with TVB, and is now working on her presenting

Miss Asia China preliminary concluded in Nan Ning, twenty
finalists from all over the Mainland China made to the final to be
stage in Xian. The show features, swimsuit, evening gowns and
fashion outfits. Miss Lu Jing-Jing, the grand winner of
Miss Asia 2004 also presented during the competition, along with
two other mainland titleholders last year.

Venezuela woman earns one more
international trophy, a former Miss Lara, represented
Venezuela at the Miss Intercontinental
Pageant in China and won it at last! The 5ft 10in
stunner beat off 60 contestants from all
over the world, took the grand prize, she may
be stay in Germany for a year, to fulfil
her duty, hopefully returen to China to crown
her successor in 2006. The show was
popular in North China, where the international
contestants got a taste of traditional
Chinese culture during the three week competition.

crown.
Queenie Chu has been named Miss
International HK 2005. Former Miss World Hong Kong
and 1st runner up in Miss
Hong Kong Pageant 2004 will be the Hong Kong delegate at
Miss International Pageant 2005, which
will be staged in Aichi Japan on September 22nd.
Due to the extremely close schedule between two pageants, TVB had
find difficulty to
prepare the new titleholder for the forthcoming international
competition. Since Kate
Miss Hong Kong 2004 has exceed the age limit of Miss
international, so that Queenie
seems to be the only option left for TVB. Miss Queenie Chu is no
stranger to international
beauty pageant, who was a crown favour during the past Miss World
contest and voted
top two position in China and Hong Kong during the contest.

a record high of swimsuit
appearances in Miss Hong Kong
history. The twenty hot
babes seem fine about it, as usual,
put on big smiles, and
show off their slim figures to the press.
TVB promises more bikini photo shooting to come for the
press in the next few weeks.
Miss Hong Kong hits hard by her rival 24/07/05
Miss Asia audition was held on last Thursday; over 4,000
applications were received, in contrast to 2,000 applicants by
Miss Hong Kong. The local presses are happy with the standard of
those who applied for Miss Asia contest.

prettier’. The rival network of TVB,
ATV is very satisfied
with the standard of applicants
they received. We invited around 100 young ladies, who aged between
18-28 for the
audition; the success candidates will be called back for the
second interview. We will also interview for those applied
age under 18 by next week. The Hong Kong finalists will join with
Mainland finalists and the rest of Asian finalists for
grand final,
Miss Hong Kong Pageant kicks off the season 20/07/05
It is hot; it is
the season for beauty pageant. The weather is getting hotter, so did
the beauty pageant. Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2005 is half way to
this year’s grand
final. According to the local press, that TVB has no intention to
hold a semi-final this
year. The twenty finalists will via for the most wanted crown in
Hong Kong on
August 20.
Over the past few weeks, 20 finalists took part in a number of
public presentations,
including goodwill trips to three Tsunami affected countries, and
also pre-taping for
the grand final. The Miss Hong Kong outdoor crew have brought back
some great acts from Thailand, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The press does not quite impress about the finalists, describe the
standard of the twenty finalists are appalling and no particular
contestant stands out.
In my personal view, the 20 girls have made great efforts on their
personal appearances. They look much better, more elegant
and charming, in contrast to the early stage of the competition.
The local press has been made their decision clear that #16, #18,
#8 and #13 are the crown favours, where #12, #15, #7 and #14 are
the dark horses. In addition, #18 claimed the title of Tourism
Ambassador Award during last week, the title used to share by
pervious Miss Hong Kong runner ups.
