We would just like to offer some useful information for pageant moms and contestants to consider when competing in a Charming Beauties pageant:
We do not consider ourselves a Glitz system. We will be hosting natural and semi-glitz pageants throughout the year.
During a natural pageant, no hair pieces, no make-up for 0-3, 4-8 lip gloss and light blush optional, 9-up age appropriate make-up. Dresses should be Sunday best, and should not contain stones. No pageant dresses please.
The judges will be scoring each contestant on: Natural beauty, personality, overall appeal.
Overall appeal breaks down into: age appropriate make-up, fit of attire, comfort level on stage.
During a semi-glitz pageant, you may wear custom or off the rack pageant attire. Make-up and hair pieces may be used, but should still be age appropriate.
The judges will be scoring each contestant on: Natural beauty, personality and modeling(4-up), and overall appeal.
Outfit of choice: The only restriction for outfit of choice is that we ask for no Pro-Am routines, since we are not a glitz system.
However, you may bring your own music and do upbeat modeling.
Our judges will be instructed to judge ONLY be how well you do, whatever it is, you decide to do.
What we look for in our judges:
First of all we make every effort to find qualified judges who are not from this area, and who are not familiar with any of our contestants.
