Rosa was sitting in her room all alone crying heavily. Just two hours ago she came back from her doctor�s appointment and was informed that she was indeed diabetic. After she came home she phoned Quake to tell her boss that she was sick and needed a couple of days of from work and went into her room. �Why me?� She said out loud to no one.
Piper who saw her run upstairs after her phone call was at her bedroom door. She thought it best to let her be for a while before trying to help her. �Rosa?� Then she knocked on the door. �May I please come in?� Then she heard the cried filled yell coming from Rosa�s throat. �Leave me alone! Get lost!� Piper flinched at her reaction. �Please sweetie let me in it�s better to talk about it.� Piper then heard the room go silent quickly. �Oh no she better not have done anything to herself.� Piper thought to herself. She was becoming panicky but then the door opened slowly. Rosa was in the doorway trying to hold back her tears. �I�m so sorry Piper. I didn�t mean to lash out at you like that, please forgive me.� Her tears were streaming down her face and she burst into crying again her hands at her face. Piper then put an arm around her. �It�s ok sweetie. Cry let it all out. I�m here for you.� She stroked her long hair out of Rosa�s face. �It�s ok.� �I need to make a long distance phone call please. I will pay for it but I need to make one badly.� Said Rosa through her tears. �Sure I will get the cordless phone for you.� Piper then zipped down the stairs and got the phone from the kitchen. When she came back Rosa was on her bed knees brought up to her chest and arms wrapped round her like she was hugging herself. Tears still streaming down Rosa�s face Piper came over to her. She sat down and gave her the phone. �Here you go I will be downstairs if you need me.� Rosa then thanked her and tried dialling the number.
�Damn my fingers!� Rosa yelled at herself �Stop shaking!� For the last 10 minutes she tried dialling that number but because she was upset so much she was violently shaking that her hands barely could hold the phone. She then threw the phone on her pillow and started to pace the room trying to calm down. �Why is this happening to me?� She asked no one. Then she heard a knock and the door open. �Hey. Is everything ok in here?� It was Phoebe. �Hey I didn�t know you were home yet. What time is it?� �Umm 4:30pm. I was home an hour ago.� �Oh. Can you please do me a favour?� Rosa picked up the phone and her hand was shaking. �Rosa are you ok? Have you taken your glucose test? Have you eaten anything?� Phoebe went up to her and held her hand. �No I�m not hungry.� Rosa said looking at the phone. Rosa then jerked her hand away from Phoebe and put them at her side �When was the last time you ate?� Asked Phoebe looking at her face. Rosa faced away from her and that gave Phoebe the idea she hadn�t eaten anything in a long time. To long a time. �Rosa lets go into the kitchen. I will fix you a sandwich.� Phoebe took her hand and tried to get her into the kitchen. �I need to make a phone call first.� Said Rosa not moving. �The phone call can wait you need food.� Phoebe then tried to move her again. �No this can�t wait!� She said tearing her hand form her �this is important for me!� Phoebe was startled at her reaction and before she said anything Rosa spoke in a more normal voice. �I�m sorry Phoebe I know your trying to help. I will eat but I need to make this phone call first. Please it�s important to me.� Phoebe then said �Fine but promise me you�ll eat something after.� �I promise.� Said Rosa upset at the way she yelled at Phoebe. �I�m sorry for yelling at you. I just fell bad that I�m taking it out on everyone it seems.� �It�s ok.� Said Phoebe rapping her arm around her. �Now what�s the favour you need?� Rosa gave her the phone �Can you please dial the number for me? I�m having problems doing it.� �Sure. What�s the number?� Said Phoebe sitting down on Rosa�s bed. �I�m going to pay for the phone bill this month so I�m going to make a long distance phone call.� Phoebe nodded and Rosa continued. �It�s (204) 772-5456.� Phoebe made sure she dialled the number correctly and gave the phone to Rosa. �I will be in the kitchen waiting for you.� Rosa nodded an OK and Phoebe then left. The phoned rang three times and then a woman spoke. �Marshall Mechanics how may I help you?� �May I please speak to Aaron? It�s Rosa Halliwell calling.� � Just one moment please.� Rosa then took a deep breath to make sure she was calm enough to speak. �Aaron speaking Imzadi is that you?� �Yes Aaron it�s me how are you?� Aaron then frowned �She only calls me Aaron if there�s something wrong, when were in public, or if she�s angry with me and I doubt she�s angry with me.� Said Aaron to himself. �I�m ok Imzadi is there something wrong?� Rosa then sat down on her bed. �I wish I could say no but there is.� Aaron�s frowned deepened and a tear formed in his eye when it hit him. He squeezed his eye to stop it the tear from forming. �Dose it have to do with the letter you wrote me?� �Yes the test cam back positive.� Rosa was then silently crying. �Oh Imzadi I�m so sorry I wish I were there with you.� Aaron�s hand turned into a fist and he let it drop on his leg � why did you let it happen to her?� Aaron said to himself hoping some one above read his mind and was willing to answer him. �I think I also relapsed into my depression. I don�t fell like eating or doing anything anymore. I called work telling them I can�t make it for awhile and to take it out of my vacation time.� �But cooking is your life maybe you should go back to work that might help you.� Rosa then laid down on her bed. �I don�t know maybe I will.� �Please do it for me Imzadi? Please?� Rosa heard the concern in his voice �Ok I will in two days.� I need some time to recuperate.� Aaron�s pager went off. He looked at it and it was a call for a towing job. �Imzadi I�m afraid I have to go.� He frowned again �A car got stuck in the middle of Portage and Main and it�s stuffing up traffic real bad. I wish I could stay longer. I love you.� Rosa then sat up shaking still from lack of food. Trying to hide her problem she forced herself to talk without stuttering �it�s ok I understand it was great to hear your voice again Imzadi. Thanks for cheering me up. I love you.� �Anytime you need me you can call. Bye.� Then Aaron hung up and flung his pager on his desk. He sat back in his chair and his arms flopped down to his side. He looked up then sighed. �Someone must really hate us.� He murmured while getting his coat on to get to work.
�AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!� Prue and Phoebe ran to the stairs in the front hallway. Rosa was on the floor in front of the stairs on her back and her hand on the back of her head. She was shaking on the floor in pain. Rosa was trying her best not to swear �Phoebe get some cola in the fridge.� Phoebe ran back into the kitchen for the cola. Prue then sat Rosa up. Tears were streaming down her face and she was biting her bottom lip. �Rosa are you all right?� It was fifteen minutes ago that she finished her phone call with Aaron. She was seeing double vision and shaking more violently then before. �Need sugar� Rosa stuttered. She was cringing in pain tears were starting to staining her face. Phoebe then ran in with a bottle of coke and a glass but Rosa took the bottle out of her hand and drank from the bottle. �Whoa slow down there.� Rosa put the bottle to her side and leaned against the wall with her eyes closed. Then she started to laugh. �What�s so funny?� Asked Prue touching her forehead �are you ok?� Rosa then took Prue�s hand off her forehead �I will be fine.� She said trying to stifle her laugh. �It�s just I remembered something. It was at a friends Halloween party I think. Yeah and someone dared me to drink a whole two litter bottle of Diet Cola. Yuck and I hate the stuff and I did it by breathing a special way though my nose. After drinking it I almost threw up because of the taste of it. I also found it funny because now I have to drink mostly diet soda. How ironic.� She then frowned a little thinking about how she will now for the rest of her life be strict with her sugar consumption. She then opened her eyes. Her vision was better then it was before but she was still slightly seeing double and shaking a bit. She then tried to get up. Prue was on one side and Phoebe on the other helping her. When Rosa got up she touched the back of her head. �Ow that smarts.� �Want me to get you anything for it?� Asked Prue sitting on the couch beside her. �Yeah thanks.� Prue went to get some aspirin in the upstairs bathroom. �I shouldn�t of let you make that phone call without eating anything.� Phoebe said looking at her. �Phoebe please. It wasn�t your fault. It was mine.� Phoebe shook her head �No I feel responsible for what happened I could of at least brought you a sandwich or something.� �I would have told you to take it away. My appetite has gone down the drain with my relapse into depression. I remember I went without eating for 7 hours once because of it. Please it�s not your fault.� Then Prue came downstairs with the aspirin. �I will get some water.� Phoebe said softly. She then got up and went into the kitchen. Prue watched her go in. �is she ok?� Asked Prue sitting beside her. �No. She�s blaming herself for not dragging my butt downstairs to eat something. It�s my fault if anyone's. I don�t fell hungry and I�m depressed out of my mind.� Prue then got up let�s go see Piper at P3 when you�re done eating. I think it would cheer us all up.� �OK.� Said Rosa but she didn�t really want to go anywhere. Phoebe then came in with the water. �Are you felling any better?� Phoebe asked handing her the water. �Yeah much better well except for my head.� Rosa popped two aspirin and drank the whole glass of water. �Are you up to go to P3 with us?� Asked Prue to Phoebe who snuggled in the corner of the couch. �Sure. When are we going?� �After I eat a sandwich.� Said Rosa getting up from the couch. �OK then.� Said Phoebe staring off into space. Rosa looked at Prue and Prue gave her a she will be OK look and then she went into the kitchen. �Phoebe it�s ok she�s fine now. I will help keep her on her toes too.� Said Prue crouching down beside her to look at her. Will you be OK?� Phoebe smiled �Yeah I will.� Phoebe said hugging her. �Ok then let�s see how Rosa is doing.� Then they got up and went into the kitchen.
�What do you mean it�s booked up for a week! I need a ticket ASAP.� The airline receptionist was getting scared it looked like he was going to punch her. �I'm sorry sir it all booked up.� Aaron then struck the counter with his fist and then ran his hand through is hair. �Fine. I�m sorry. It�s just important. I will come back tomorrow to book a flight for next week.� Aaron then picked up his carry on luggage and was about to leave but there was an elderly woman running up to him. �Excuse me sir?� �May I help you?� He asked placing his luggage on the floor. �I was thinking of helping you. I heard what happened at the desk. I was next door asking about my flight and it�s running a late. If you want you can have my ticket to San Francisco.� Aaron was looking at her when they announced the late arrival. �It�s a nice offer but I can�t. It won�t be right.� He then picked up his luggage and was about to leave. �No it�s OK.� She then grabbed his arm. �I can see it�s important to you and well it�s not my first time there. I can wait a week you can�t. I�m going back just for a vacation and I can wait a week. I waited 4 months another week wouldn�t hurt. I insist.� She held the ticket in front of him. �O.K.� he said slowly and he took the ticket and looked at it. �This is too good to be true.� He said to himself and then they both went to the main desk. �How may I help you?� The receptionist at the front desk asked as the both approached. �I would like to cancel my flight to give to this young man.� Said the lady. Aaron was behind her watching �O.K. may I have your ticket please?� She gave the man the ticket and he made a phone call. �This will take about 15 min. My supervisor who can authorize this change is having problems with another flight. I�m sorry for the inconvenience.� Aaron took a deep sigh �Don�t worry young man things can change.� Then she started to flex her hands as she cringed in pain. �Are you OK?� Asked Aaron in concern. �I�m fine just a spasm in my hand I get them often.� She then rubbed her hand. A small smile spread on her face.
�Madam please this will be fixed shortly.� A tall man in a navy blue suit was standing between a male and female customer. The female was arguing that she was there first before he was and he was about to yell in his face when the man gave up. �Fine you go I will wait at the end of the line that just formed while we were arguing.� He then walked at the end of the line. �That was a quick switch. He didn�t want to move. Wonder what got into him?� The lady then started to straighten out her clothes. �I don�t know but it was a good thing I was about to give him a piece of my mind.� �Raquel do you think you can handle this line up?� She nodded and then he walked towards the main desk.
�Hello Madam, Sir are you changing flights?� The man that was earlier trying to help stop the fighting at the other desk went behind the main desk. � Yes here�s my ticket flight to San Francisco and I want to give it to this gentleman.� The lady then gave the man her ticket. The man looked at the ticket and punched some keys in the computer and singed the bottom of the ticket and produced a new one. �You�re very lucky sir, the flights been delayed due to the weather in its last stop before.� Aaron just smiled a little and waited for the transfer. �Madam what would you like to do? Have a reimbursement or another flight?� �I will have a reimbursement for now. I will return next week to book another flight I�m in a hurry now.� �Ok madam.� The gentleman work as quickly as he can and gave the lady her reimbursement and Aaron his ticket. �Thank you for the ticket is there anything I can do for you in return?� Asked Aaron looking at her with genuine gratitude. �No my boy not at this moment but you will soon.� Then the lady walked off and turned a deserted corner of the airport. Aaron confused by her statement went after her wanting to ask her what she meant by that but she was gone. Aaron was perplexed as to where she went but he went and sat down waiting for the flight.
�Rosa wake up.� Said Phoebe shaking her shoulders. Rosa groaned �Nuuuuuuuuuts it�s time already?� She stretched in her bed and slowly got up. �I�m still tired.� She looked at her watch �I only got 6 hours of sleep. Stupid anti depressants� Phoebe looked at her with concern. Rosa frowned �Ever since I was put back on them, I�m forgetting things more then I used to, feel more tired, have a loss of concentration and sometimes need certain things repeated to me. It some side effects that I have to cope with.� She got up and looked out the window. It was a rainy day and thunder rumbled in the distance. �Yucky weather today.� Said Phoebe beside her giving her a sisterly hug. �Yeah, yuck.� Then they heard Prue yelling from downstairs. �Rosa there�s a delivery for you!� They both turned their heads around to the door of the bedroom. �Me?� Said Rosa �Hmmmm maybe wrong house or the wrong Rosa?� Said Phoebe turning to look at her �I don�t know.� Said Rosa shuffling out the door �but I got to find out.� Phoebe was scurrying right behind her. �But what about your bed head and your clothes?� �Who cares it�s a delivery guy.�
Rosa then got to the front door and Prue moved off to the side revealing a huge bouquet of roses and the man behind it was covered by it. Then the man with out saying anything took the roses and placed them in both Rosa�s arms and made sure he was looking down enough to make his hat cover his face. Rosa looked out the side of the huge bouquet �Sir I think you got the wrong person here.� Rosa was trying to not let the roses fallout of her arms. Then the man looked up at her and said smiling �No I don�t.� Rosa blinked in surprise. Piper then came from the kitchen dusting her hands of from baking some desserts for a friends wedding. �Who is it?� Asked Piper surprised that Rosa gave her the roses. �Whoa what�s this for?� Phoebe then grabbed the other end so they wouldn�t fall. �Their Rosa�s.� Said Phoebe tilling her head to indicate where they can be put down. Rosa then ran up to Aaron squealing �Imzadi!� Aaron opened his arms and embraced her. Prue then tilted her head slightly smiling. �Imzadi?� Asked Phoebe coming back with Piper to the front door �isn�t his name Aaron?� �I was thinking the same thing to.� Admitted Prue. Rosa then turned around and said with delight at seeing him. �Of course it is silly that�s our nickname for each other.� Then he pulled Aaron into the house. �Come in. Don�t stand out in that dreary weather.� It had started to rain when she went to the door. Prue and Phoebe brought the roses into the kitchen while Piper went to fix up some coffee and cookies for their guest.
�Can ya handle the roses Prue?� Asked Phoebe smelling them. �Yeah will give them some water before I head out with the coffee.� �OK that�s good I got to change out of my own PJ�s I must look like a walking zombie.� �OK Pheebs but hurry I need help with the trays I�m preparing.� Said Piper working her quickest to make a cookie tray for the unexpected company that arrived. �Sure thing Piper.� Said Phoebe going upstairs. She smiled at Rosa and Aaron as she jumped 2 steps at a time. They both smiled back.
Phoebe went straight to her closet and threw a simple outfit together. While she was going back and forth from the closet to her bed she noticed one of Rosa�s book on the floor near her nightstand. She picked it up and while putting it down on Rosa�s nightstand she noticed something that interested her. The title of the book Rosa was reading was titled Triangle Imzadi 2. She noticed it was one of her Star Trek Next Generation book and she quickly looked at the back of the book and read it. �Imzadi: To the people of the planet Betazed, including Counselor Deanna Troi of the Starship Enterprise, it means �beloved� and denotes a special closeness that can never be truly broken. Or can it?� She looked up from the book and smiled and thought to herself �That�s sweet. But I got to hurry and get dressed.� Phoebe placed the book on Rosa�s nightstand not reading the rest of it then got changed quickly, combed her hair, and met Piper and Prue in the kitchen.
After Pheebs disappeared upstairs Rosa grabbed both of Aaron�s hands and led him to the living room. Aaron followed her with a big smile on his face. �So what brought you out here?� Asked Rosa sitting down on the couch. Aaron sat beside her. They both were looking at each other. �I want to be with you in your time of need.� Said Aaron pushing some loose strands of hair out of her face. Rosa smiled a bit then Rosa touched her face. �Oh my I look like a mess,� Rosa stood up and looked at herself still in her PJ�s and touched her messy hair. �Yuck this is horrible. I will be right back.� �No its ok.� Said Aaron holding her hand. �I don�t care how you look I just want to be with you. I missed you.� Rosa sat back down and gave him a big hug and kiss. Then Aaron put an arm around her and Rosa laid her head on his chest. �I missed you too Imzadi.�
