Mobile Home Fire - November 2001

The Folkston Division was toned to a structure fire at 1:00 A.M. on the west side of town. Upon arrival found 1/2 the home in flames. Firefighters were able to save the home from flame damage. Homeowner stated that she was not at home when the fire started.
Mobile Home Fire - February 25, 2002

This fire was toned while firefighters were cleaning up a vehicle accident. Firefighers were able to respond with in a few mintues. Neighbors seen smoke coming from the outside of the home and called 911. Upon arrival fire fighters were able to contain the fire with-in a matter of mintues. Only damage was to two sets of kitchen cabinets and the counter top.
Church Fire - March 20, 2002

Folkston Division was toned for a Church fire around 3:15 P.M. Upon arrival found flames coming from the front of the church. With Engine 12 and Engine 11 gone for repairs the only apparatus was the Tanker. Firefighters were able to save more then 1/2 the church. Racepond and Winoker Divisions were called in for aid. This fire was ruled as arson on March 21, 2002 and is still under investigation.

Folkston Division was toned for this mobile fire at 6:30A.M. This mobile home fire started from the stove being left on. The homeowner was cooking breakfeast then left for work. His wife was asleep in the bedroom and woke to the smell of smoke. She was able to get out and call 911.
Repair Shop Fire - April 07, 2002

This fire was toned around 12:30 in the afternoon. Folkston Division with only the use of the Tanker, due to Engine 11 in the shop for repairs faced a great fire. Fire was started from a old mobile home being torn down for repairs. With three other structures in danger and a dry wooded lot, Folkston Division asked for Racepond to aid them. Fire was contained in a short period of time and all other buildings were saved. Fire comsumed a shed, a old vehicle and numerous engines and such placed in the yard.
