The brand new CD album "STWFF" (on the NEUD nid DEUD label - NND 001), is now in the shops, and receiving critical acclaim for the variety of musical styles on offer, as well asthe diversity of the chosen vocal collaborators. John Peel has offered the band a newsession for his show on the strength of the new material and the band have just finished remixing songs for the new Super Furry Animals DVD release "Rings around the world" (the "Happy Chapel-mix" of "Rings..." is a corker!).

Llwybr Llaethog also have a single out, "LLANRWST" (on the Fitamin Un label Fit 009) a reworking of Y Cyrff�s Welsh language anthem, �Cymru, Lloegr a Llanrwst�. Y Cyrff were one of the most popular Welsh Language groups in the mid 80�s to early 90�s, splitting when lead singer, Mark Roberts left the band ...he went on to form Catatonia.

    Llwybr Llaethog once again prove their skill in the art of producing exciting and contemporary dance music. Always way ahead of their time, this is a group that has been at the cutting edge of electronic music in Wales since 1985, they are at last gaining well deserved wider respect and recognition for their pioneering work.

    Welsh rap in Asia? Well, yes actually - Llwybr Llaethog frontman John Griffiths turns up rapping in Welsh on "Happy Valley", the new album by Hong Kong collective "Celestial" on the Drum label (DRUM 001).

Talkshow Release GM9 The Triple A Side
Talkshow release their second single, GM9, on Complete Control Music on Monday July 2nd, 2001. Billed as a triple a-side, the exciting three-track is already attracting significant attention, receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1's 'Session in Wales', Red Dragon FM, and BBC Radio Wales.
The single, which was recorded at Grassroots Studio, Cardiff during February and March of this year, opens with the punky, power pop of 'Gas Mark 9'. Already a live favourite, the song features a driving guitar line, dramatic hooks, and the distinctive vocals of Damien Scott Owens.
'This Side Of Silence', with it's Latinesque drum beat, changes the mood completely and demonstrates the range of talent within the band. The song weaves its way through its melodic path before building into a crushingly awesome crescendo.
'Modern Girl' returns to the punky, power pop of 'Gas Mark 9'. And with more than a passing reference to single mums, car crime and the 21st century rat race, this is two and a half minutes of sheer energetic rock 'n' roll.
