Able Seaman Harry Wood
Anson Battalion, Royal Naval Division
1. Born 1897 in Maidstone (?). Eleventh of Frederick Louis Wood's thirteen sons.

2. In WWI served with the Anson Battalion in the Second Brigade of the Royal Naval Division.

3. Fought in the siege of Antwerp, returned to Britain for training at Blandford Camp.

4. Sailed for Egypt, February 1915. 25 April 1915, took part in the first's day's landings at Gallipoli. Landed at Cape Helles.

5. Killed aged eighteen on 4 June 1915, at the Third Battle of Krithia (an unsuccessful attempt by the Allied forces at Cape Helles to advance on Achi Baba).

6. Body not recovered. Commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
