Two Hearts

Two hearts,

Once were as one,

One that was full of love and hope,

Now those two hearts are shattered,

Into a million pieces.

Two hearts broken by silly mistakes,

Brought on by misunderstanding.

Can those two hearts,

That once were as one,

Ever find each other again?

Two lost souls,

Once were as one,

So much love they shared,

Now they are broken.

Can those two souls,

That once were as one,

Ever find each other again?

So many tears of pain,

Wept by these two hearts,

And by these two souls.

Can these two hearts and souls,

Ever forgive and love each other again?

Can they ever become as one,

One that is whole and complete?

Without the other, these two hearts and souls

Will always be lost and alone,

Lost and alone, full of misery.

With enough love and forgiveness,

These two hearts and souls

Must somehow be put back together,

For neither will ever be truly happy without the other.

With God's help, they can work it out,

And once again, be two hearts,

And once again, be two souls,

Two hearts and souls, but yet as one,

Brought together by love,

So much in love with one another,

And made stronger by what they have endured!
