People say when you try to look
At the good side of life,
That you are looking at the world
Through rose-colored glasses.
But is it so wrong to want to believe
In the good in people?
There is so much pain
And heartache in this world,
Is it so wrong to try to look
At the good side of things?
We are so quick to believe
Bad news about someone,
When it should be good news
That we want to hear.
Life is not always easy or pleasant,
But God never said that it would be,
But He did say that He would be there,
Each and every step of the way.
We have the ability to choose,
Every day of our lives,
How we will look at things,
And what we will do with our days.
So if I am looking at the world
Through rose-colored glasses,
I would rather see the beauty in things
Than to be blinded
By the darkness of no hope.
Hope gives us the ability
To see the light
At the end of the tunnel.
Hope gives us the freedom
To love and to give
And to dream.
Without faith and hope and sharing
And love and dreams,
What would life be?
So keep your faith strong,
Never give up hope,
Love with all your heart,
Give Life your all every day,
And never let anyone tell you
That you can’t attain your dreams!
