No Escape
The waters of life, sometimes get rough,
And every day seems just too tough.
Then we feel so tossed about,
And it makes us want to scream and shout!
Losses so great, we all must bear,
Some of these things, we all must share.
Lives and loves, or jobs and stability,
Maybe the loss of our children, or loss of our abilities!
We all may feel like running away,
At some point, or on any given day!
But there is really no escape,
From the losses and pain and the mistakes!
Forgiveness can heal our hearts,
And can make a whole of all the parts!
Then, with God's help, all can be made right,
And once again, the future can look bright!
Have no fear, make that first call,
Hold out your hand in peace, and give it your all!
Trust in the Lord, He will help you,
Lean on Him, and He will guide you through!
Nothing can change the past,
Or make some things last,
But love can lead the way,
To a bright and shining day!
