Life’s Lessons

Be very careful what you wish for,

Your wish just might come true,

And when it does, be prepared,

For what your life may become.

It sounds so great from afar,

Like waiting for the first day of summer,

The anticipation makes it seem wonderful,

But things are not always what they seem.

If, after you get your wish,

You see that you were wrong,

Don’t be afraid to admit it,

Say “I’m sorry”, and just go on.

It is a far worse mistake to live in shadows,

Than to face the clouds and look for the sunshine.

Just forgive and forget,

And take it one day at a time.

With enough love, things can become easier,

Helping one another through rough times,

Try not to place blame though it is hard not to,

And you will see that in the end, love is the only answer.
