It Doesn't Take Snow!

It doesn't take snow to make Christmas,

And it doesn't take glitter and glam!

You don't have to spend all your money,

Trying to impress your honey!

It doesn't take the biggest outdoor display,

Nor the brightest and shiniest paper,

You don't need the most presents under the tree,

And the tree doesn't have to be the tallest you've ever seen!

You don't need all the sales ads,

And you don't have to run yourself ragged!

For Christmas is not about gifts and trees,

Nor is it about all the bright and shiny!

If you want to know what it takes to make Christmas,

All you need is love and forgiveness!

The love that God showed to us here on Earth,

When He sent His only Son by Virgin Birth!

Look back into your memories,

Back to when you prayed on your knees,

For just enough to feed your family,

Think of how little it took to be happy!

Take some of the wonder of a child,

Add some faith of the meek and mild,

Give of your own heart without bragging,

And love the Lord with your whole being!

Let's keep Christmas in our hearts,

Which is where It truly starts!

Show the Love of Jesus every day,

And teach our children to go the right way!

No, it doesn't take snow to make Christmas,

All it takes is remembering our Great Savior's Birth!
