If Ever
If trouble comes your way,
Try not to worry,
Just get down on your knees and pray.
If ever you need a friend,
Just call on me,
I'll be there to hold your hand.
If you feel like you're all alone,
Remember that I am here,
And I'll never put you down.
If ever you need a shoulder to cry on,
I'll be there for that, too.
And soon your tears will be gone.
Share your burdens with me and they'll be lighter,
For you don't have to bear them all alone,
And soon your days will be so much brighter!
For friends need one another in bad times as well as good,
To give encouraging words and love,
And most important, lots of warm hugs!
