Freedom

So many kinds of freedom,

We enjoy in our great nation.

Freedom of religion,

Freedom of speech,

Freedom of mobility,

Freedom of choice,

Freedom from tyranny,

These are just a few that we enjoy.

How often we take these freedoms for granted,

Never thinking of the sacrifices that were made for us,

By those long gone,

And also by those who were lost very recently.

Lives willingly given for us,

So that we can enjoy all these freedoms,

Because they believed in our country,

They were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice,

So that we can be free from worry and strife.

Tonight before you go to bed,

Pray for our brave troops and their families,

Pray for our leaders,

And pray for the leaders of the world.

Pray that somehow there will be peace.

Tomorrow when you wake up, pray again,

And all throughout each and every day,

For that is the very least that we can do.
