Today I took a step back in time,
To when I was a little girl,
Visiting my first school,
Seeing places that were so dear to me.
Joyous was my heart,
And having the chance to share these things,
With my precious little granddaughter,
Made it even more special to me.
I hope that she will remember this day,
And that she will look back with fondness,
At the time that she spent today with me,
I hope that she will realize one day,
How important it is to share things,
How we should take the time to make memories,
Because time stands still for no one,
So we must make the most of every day!
