Charles Philip Cooper
Born on August 6 to the late Wealthy and Cornelius Cooper Sr.,  "Phil" as he is affectionately called is the fifth of sixth children.

After graduating from Western Senior High School he obtained his City and Guild Certification and became an employee of the Bahamas Electricity Corporation where he is employed as a Machinist.

Phil serves as a Deacon at Transfiguration Baptist Church where he also takes part in the Music Ministry and the Prayer Group.

Philip is one of the founding members of the Royal Ambassador Band which is a marching band affiliated with the Bahamas Baptist Association. As Director of the band  he combines his musical talents to help young men and women develop discipline and musical skills. He has also taken the time to teach each of his children how to read music and play at least one instrument.

The longer I serve Him the sweeter He grows
The more that I love Him more love He bestows
Each day is like heaven, my heart over flows
The longer I serve Him the sweeter He grows

Besides reading his Bible, playing his trumpet and fishing, my father also loves to play dominoes. He would like to think that he is the best player in the world and challenges anyone who thinks they are any good.

Though you may not have guessed, my father is also very camera shy. But he'll be the first to let you know that he has it going on even though he is approaching 50. Hey I gotta admit he really is still a very handsome man.
One of his favourite scriptures is found in Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding;
In ALL your ways acknowledge Him
And He shall direct your paths.
A TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER

It seems that everytime I as asked the question
Who has had the most influence in your life?
I immediately answer, "My mother of course!"
Yes she has always been there for me as a supporter and a friend.

Lately, however I've ahd to stop myself and say "How could I forget you daddy?"
In my reflections I have discovered that many times I have forgotten that
you have also been there for me in your own quiet way you have offered your support.

I always knew that if I looked in the back row during my plays, recitals
and awards ceremonies you'd be there with a goofy smile waving at me.
You'd say "That's my little girl up there!" to anyone who asked.
You always showed how proud you were of my achievements by placing my
Report Card in your locker at work.
You would always ask how my day went and what new thing I had learned.

There's also so much you taught me!
You taught me how to play the clarinet.
You taught me how to change a tire.
You taught me how to pay attention to details.
You taught me how to be strong and independent.
However the most important lesson that you taught
Was that I should never give up!

So daddy this one's for you to say THANK YOU for being there
Thank you for showing you care
Thank you for your love and protection
Thank you for helping to mold me into the young woman I am today
