Dedicated to The Memory of
Gwendolyn L. White
1922 - 2001
It's hard to believe that you are gone
Your smiles no more to share.
Who'll give advice and talk to me
Of the world and all its cares?

You sat so quietly in your chair
Pretending you didn't hear
But in fact you knew all that occurred
And the name of the one who had erred.

Who's going to watch TV with me
And talk about the stars?
Who'll look beyond my smile and jokes
And see the hidden scars?

Your words of wisdom I'll never forget
Your memory will always live on
And though my heart is torn apart
I'm comforted to know
That in a better place we'll meet someday
Never more to part
