Crawling Away
If you had the chance to be someone else, who would it be? If you
had to go somewhere, where would you go? Ungrateful people would like to
change it all. Taking for granted what they have and want to have what they
don't. The grass is always greener in other people's lawn.
People go to great lengths to change everything in sight, most
especially when the sight is themselves. Contentment is rare nowadays.
People had to be better. And this is good, right? We are no communist
country. People are not held back to be what they could be and could have
what they can afford. And sometimes what they can't afford.
There are great consequences for this freedom. That is someone
will always become better than others. People can't always stay on top.
They have to give way to those who can hack it more than them. People are
always in a losing battle to be better if they are going against the rest
of humanity. But it is a winning battle if they are competing with themselves.
It won't feel as bad as losing to another, right?
If there is that chance to go somewhere, choose where no one knows you.
Who has not seen what you can be, what you are and what you are not. A place
where people are so nice, you would think they're being unreal. Not the creepy
kind of unreality. But there is no place that can make you happy even if you
force yourself. Happiness is never found in a place, unless you reach a circus
where you could be happy, happy, happy. But the circus also have its accidents.
If you could be someone else, I bet you would be someone you are not.
But if you are a know-it-all in this lifetime, I bet you would still be at the
next one.
