Famous Blonde Moments in Charlie's History
First Aid When Out in the Field - Bird Creek In the summer of 2000, Charlie went camping with some friends. Someone was trying to pop some Jiffy Pop popcorn over the campfire, but couldn't seem to get it right, so Charlie went up to him to show him how to do it, forgetting that the metal handle of the popcorn was extremely HOT, and ended up burning the palm of her hand really bad. Okay, that wasn't the real blonde moment though. Throughout the rest of the afternoon, Charlie clenched her burned hand in a fist, and had put a bandaid on it. The burn still had this hot sensation, even hours later. Charlie sighed out in frustration, "Damn, I wish I had some ice or something to put on this burn." Everyone around her gave her a funny look. Charlie looked down at herself, only to realize that she was sitting on top of a cooler that was filled with ice. A cooler full of ice that she had brought to the campsite.

03 FEB 02 - Kuwait This is more of a clumsy, boy-don't-I-feel-stupid kind of story, than a pure blonde moment... This evening at dinner, the person sitting next to me asked me to pass him a toothpick. Now, these toothpick dispensers look a lot like those straw dispensers, where you push down on the bottom, and one pops out. Charlie, thinking that that's what it was, picked up the dispenser, set it down beside her tray, pushed down on the little bottom part, and the lid flipped open, the dispenser pounced up in the air, and about two hundred toothpicks proceeded to fly in the air and all over the table. The moral of this story is, either use both hands when you're trying to pull a stunt like this, or look at the little dial on the side of the dispenser that you're supposed to turn to make the toothpicks pop out.

Little Charlie Homemaker - 2000 In 2000, Charlie was doing laundry every few days, only to realize that every time she took the clothes out, they kept having bleach spots all over them. This strange phenomenon frustrated Charlie for about a month. She thought it was possible some cleaning solution had gotten on her work jeans, and perhaps it was staining the rest of her clothes, but washing them separately still didn't seem to do the trick. Well, one day, as Charlie was preparing to do a load of laundry, she went to the kitchen sink to get the laundry detergent as she always did, reaching for the Costco size bucket, ,when suddenly, as if she had awoken from a strange trance, she realized that the detergent she had picked up from the sink; the same bucket she'd been picking up for the last month, was not laundry detergent at all. No no, Charlie had been washing her clothes for a month using dishwasher detergent.
