From the time I was a small child, Tim Burton was always my favorite director. In time, I learned of his connection to Vincent Price and, through this, opened myself up to a whole new world of horror films. The gothic imagery present in the work of Tim Burton and Vincent Price has influenced me in a darker direction. Also, his use of stop-motion animation and low-budget effects, combined with the amazing cinematography in general, separates him from any other filmmaker out there.
