While he is primarily known as a comic book artist, McKean has worked as an illustrator, photographer, comic book artist, graphic designer, filmmaker and even jazz pianist. This helped give me the courage to try and mix art forms and branch out toward new ones. His best-known work Arkham Asylum is considered to be one of the most artistic approaches to the Batman story ever published.
