Given my taste in art, film, and comic books, it would seem logical that Goya�s Black Paintings would be my favorite. Indeed, those are the ones that turned me onto him but others - such as Third of May 1808 and even some of his portraits � have influenced me as well. I find that our ways of applying paint to a surface (more of the �painterly� look) are very similar, especially in works like Saturn Devouring His Son.
