Paige sat in a coner crying silently while everyone around her danced.
"Paige, sweetie, what's wrong?"
Paige looked up and saw Jordan standing over her. Jordan sat down and looked at her cousin with concern.
"The worst thing that could happen, just happened."
"Yes, well you did get married!" Jordan watched paige's unamused expression. "OK, maybe that wasn't funny."
"God," Paige took a deep breath. "Jordan, I'm pregnant."
"That's great news."
"No it's not ! Don't you get it, I'm not going to love long enough to see my baby learn to walk, learn to talk or ride a bike. I'm not going to be there when my son or daughter starts school. I'm not going to be there and I csn't stand it."
"Not going to be there for what?"
They both looked up to see Matt standing over them....

Five Months Later
She felt horrible lying on the sofa hardly being able to move. Matt was away but calling every five minuets to check on her. Ellie and Jordan pratically lived in the house. Right now Ellie was out shopping and Jordan was cleaning upstairs. Paige pulled herself off the sofa.
"I'm so hungry, I wonder what there is to eat." she thought heading to out into the kitchen. She glanced at the scan picture of her baby on the refridgirator. They hadn't wanted to know what the baby was. The baby kicked.
"OK, OK. I know your hungry."
The phone rang. Paige grabbed a piece of cake and answerd the phone.
"Hello," she said with a mouthful of cake.
"Eating again are we, my nephew is going to be huge."
"It's a girl Jeff, I don't know how many times I have to tell you. Anyway I'm seven months pregnant, I can't survive on fresh air can I."
Jeff laughed. "Anyway this was just to check in, see how you are."
"I'm..." Paige didn't finish. The pain ripped through her stomach and it was unbearable. She screamed. Jordan rushed down the stairs.
"Paige! Paige what's wrong!" Jeff called.
Jordan quickly picked up the phone. "Oh shit. Jeff tell Matt to get his ass home, I think Paige is in labour."
Jordan slammed down the phone and helped Paige up who was trying to breath.
"OK, breath deep breaths. Don't worry honey, we'll get you to the hospital."
Matt arrived at the hospital breathless with Jeff following.
"Paige Hardy. she's my wife, I need to see her." he said quickly to the receptionist.
"Room 407," she said without looking up from the computer screen. Matt and Jeff followed the signs up to room 407. Jordan and Ellie where waiting for him.
"Matt! " they cried as he rushed past them. "They won't let you in. Somethings wrong."
Matt stopped deep in his track. "What sort of something?" he asked sounding worridly.
"I don't know. They rushed the baby off and Doctors ran in to see her."
"Is the baby ok?" Jeff asked.
Jordan manged to smile. She hugged Matt. "Congratulations, you have a daughter. 5lbs 3oz. Two months prem but she'll be ok."
"A daughter, I have a daughter." Matt said in disbelife.
The door opened and a Doctor stepped out. Matt recongnised him, he'd seen Paige when she came for her scans.
"Dr. Miller. Is everything OK?" he asked.
"I'm sorry Matt. Maybe you and Jordan should come with me."
Jeff sat next to Ellie and said. "We'll wait here," while Jordan and Matt followed him to an office.
The office was small. Another Doctor was already sat in there.
"Matt, Jordan I'd like you to meet Dr. Aderson. Dr. Aderson this is Matt and Jordan. Paige's husband and cousin. Dr. Aderson first diagnoised Paige's condition."
Matt and Jordan sat don and Doctor Aderson cleared his throat. "Initally we estimated Paige had a year to live at the most. That was several months ago. I'm sorry to report that the cancer has spread radidly and is more advance then we thought it would be."
"What, what do you mean?" Matt asked close to tears.
"What i'm trying to say Matt is.....your wife will be lucky if she survives the hour."
