Matt & Jeff Hardy stood by a table watching people file into the room. They & the rest of the WWF rooster had been roped into coming to a 'party' which was being held by Vince Mc Mahon for some wealthy people interested in buying into the WWF. "This is boring, " Jeff whispered to Matt. A group of men in suits surrounded Vince near the table. "Congratulations Vince. The WWF is one of the top businesses in the world." "Do you know how much money this company generates?" "I'm so sorry for dragging you here Ellie, this is boring." a female voice said. Matt & Jeff looked up and saw two girls standing behind the men. "It's OK. It's not that bad," The first girl laughed. "Yeah right." She looked around and spotted Matt & Jeff. The girls whispered together before they walked over. "Hi, could you two sign this for us?" "Sure." Matt smiled taking the piece of paper and then pen off the girl. She'd been the first girl to talk. She was about 5ft 6in, slim with long, straight blonde-brown hair and brown eyes. "What are your names?" Jeff asked looking the second girl up & down. "Oh, sorry. My name's Paige & this is Ellie." "Hi." Ellie said. She was a little taller then Paige. Her hair was shoulder length and blonde. Matt signed the paper and handed it to Jeff. "So what are you two doing here?" Matt asked. "My Dad dragged me along. Naturally I dragged Ellie along. I couldn't be bored by myself!" Jeff laughed and handed Ellie the paper. "We were going to get out of her and go for something to eat. Do you want to come? We'd understand if you don't..." "No, we'd love to come." Matt cut in. Paige smiled & grabbed Ellie's arm. "I'll just go tell my Dad." Paige dragged Ellie over to the group of men who'd passed Matt & Jeff. "Dad..." A man who had a strict face and was wearing a grey suit turned and smiled. "Gentlemen, I want you to meet my darling daughter Paige and her friend Ellie Bentley." Paige smiled. "Er...Dad me and Ellie are going to get something to eat." "OK, sweetie. Just call me later." Paige smiled and walked back to Matt and Jeff with Ellie not that far behind. "Er....Paige. Are you sure you want to go?" Paige laughed. "Come on Elle, what could happen." After Matt dropped Ellie and Jeff off he was left alone with Paige. "Tonight was great.� he said. "It was nice, I don't get out that often. " "How come?" "It's personal." Paige replied. "Sorry." "No, It's OK." The car stopped and Matt stared at the large house which was completely dark. "Is this your house?" he asked. "No, my parents. I'm staying here till my kitchen gets refurbished." Paige un-buckled her seatbelt. "Thanks for the ride home Matt. I had a really great time tonight. Maybe we could do it again." "Sure, anytime." Paige smiled and wrote her number on a piece of paper and handed it to Matt. She kissed him on the cheek and climbed out of the car. Matt sat in silence for a while. He hadn't thought it was possible, he never believed in love at first sight until now. A few days later Matt lay on his bed in the hotel room he was sharing with Jeff. Jeff was watching TV. "What are you thinking about?" "What?" Matt asked. He hadn't been listening. Jeff laughed and switched off the TV. "What are you thinking about?" He sat up. "Do you remember Paige and Ellie?" "Yeah. What about them?" "What did you think of them?" "Paige was nice, Ellie was quiet. Why? Do you like Paige." "No." Matt replied shaking his head. Jeff smiled. "Awwww, has little Mattie got a crush on someone?" Jeff teased. Matt threw a pillow across the room at him and said. "Shut up Rainbow." |
