CD: "Seven Days of Heaven"



	I�m not sure who was having more fun�the audience or the six guys in trickKnee! These guys were cracking jokes the entire night & showed that they had a good sense of humor about their sound guy being out of town (sound check took a mite longer than it usually does, but was accomplished by the hard work of Jeff, the fill-in sound guy). When it comes to their music, though, there�s nothing to laugh about. Pure rock �n� roll, with the sound of full percussion, two electric guitars, bass guitar, and some excellent vocals, with harmonizing by 3 or 4 guys at a time, the sound of trickKnee filled the room the night we saw them. I was also impressed by the amount of fans these guys seemed to have (well deserved, of course)--this was obvious by the number of people singing along to the original songs. I also saw a lot of people toting around the band�s CD, "Seven Days of Heaven," which seemed to be selling well for $5 a pop (which is an amazing bargain, considering the excellent quality of music on the CD). TrickKnee�s original songs contain excellent harmonizing & some crafty musicianship--they could definitely be played on the radio. Two of our favorite tracks were "Waiting" and "Blackjack." As far as covers--these guys did a hilarious version of "Let�s Get it On," and one of my faves, "Just Like Heaven." In addition, in between songs they would throw in snippets of other songs, just for fun (including the Chili�s "Baby back ribs" jingle). These guys really knew how to entertain this crowd, between awesome original rock music and fun covers. Once again, trickKnee proves that rock music is alive and well in the Charleston area, and that there are some amazing musicians out there. SS
