	It almost felt like summer. Listening to Neckbonius Funk at the Island Clubhouse, I was in an incredibly relaxed state and was picturing myself with a margarita, laying in a hammock, probably being fanned with palm fronds by handsome men... Oh, yes, back to the music. This three-piece "funky blues" band really did put me in a relaxed mood. The music was definitely bluesy, but with an upbeat edge. I could have been sitting in Memphis or in Cocoa Beach. Either way, I was happy. The guys in Neckbonius Funk haven�t been together a long time, but you wouldn�t know it by their music. They play often in the area, and their sound is fun, flawless, and laid-back. No strobe lights or fog machines; just pure music with some soulful vocals thrown in. Their CD is awesome; mostly originals, with a few nice covers thrown in. I realized that I was moving my body almost unconsciously while listening. While listening to this CD, one might feel like doing anything from making the moves on somebody to hosting a barbecue party in the backyard. And you can definitely dance to it, as I saw several people doing the night we caught this band. Either way, go check these guys out. They play often at the Island Clubhouse, and their food looked really, really yummy, so kick back, have a bite to eat, enjoy the tunes, and maybe even throw on your dancing shoes. It�s Neckbonius time. SS
