	These guys were so bummed out to be minus a drummer the night we saw them at O�Reilly�s. They really looked dejected. Yet, there was no sign of anything missing during their performance; in fact, the presence of the drummer would have added just another layer to go with the many that were already present. When listening to Milhouse, I kept having visions of that ribbon Jell-O that my aunt Sandy used to make (yes, I often visualize in food terms) because theirs was such a layered and complex sound. There was a mandolin, a cello, bongos, and guitars. Not to mention the vocals. I was really digging their music. While we were there, I had a blast. My ears and musical soul were happy and all tingly. The harmonizing on the vocals was amazing, the positive nature of the music was uplifting, and the long practice by the drummer-less band was fun to witness. Matt (lead vocal, rhythm guitar) proclaimed, "It�s Milhouse Lite tonight!" (which made me think of Miller Lite, which made me think of my home, Milwaukee, which�..). Seriously, though, there was nothing missing about the performance. If you�re looking for some fun, musically complex sounds to jam to (covers and originals), check out Milhouse. These guys are some talented, fun musicians (and really, really nice people!). **Notables: --Dusty (percussion) shared that he is getting married in August to the lovely Betsy --Julie felt as though she could "reach out and touch their hair" because it was so soft and full of depth --Milhouse is in the process of recording a new CD --Shawnte� was taken back to a time when she saw Rusted Root in concert and danced in the rain --The crowd at O�Reilly�s was packed and grooving along SS
