Hey, check, it out!  Another page without a band picture.  It is time again to use your imagination, folks. Think about just how crazy those goatees must be!
Review
My friend Ash has raved about this Graham Whorley dude, so it was time to see what it was that he dug so much.

This is what we found out:
A)  Graham Whorley is probably one of the nicest people I've met.  Sincerely.  He just oozed "pleasant," if one could ooze.
2)  This is not your average acoustic 3-piece.  Not when it includes a wicked Snoop Dogg cover in its repetoire.
ix)  These guys have gnarly goatees.

Of course, that's not all.  Graham rightfully describes the GWB's music as eclectic, power, and acoustic--it really is an accurate description.  Graham and his partners in crime were squished in the tiny little corner at Art's in Mt. Pleasant, but managed to shake the place up. There were people dancing and swaying, and even a couple (I think they met that night) making out and groping each other not three feet away from the band.  They were feeling the music.

The strength of their music and presentation comes in the "eclectic" part of it--GWB does a hearty dose of originals, with a lot of instrumentals thrown in, and some peppered-up covers ("Gin and Juice," anyone?)  To add to that, the show was almost a family event--they had their flautist friend Marty, fresh from Seattle, join them during part of the set, as well as the well-known Bryan Mahanes (Akoustic Funktion) later during the show.

If you're up for a relaxed atmosphere--albeit one where anything might happen--go see GWB.
