	They come onto the stage wearing afro wigs, polyester pants, and sweatbands. It�s time to get down, get down. There is no mistaking the funk-tasticness of Booty Call. A band that covers mostly 70�s funk & disco, they bring the house down. Rudy Basketball Jones, Wallace Jackson Wellington III, Clarence Superfly McGee, and Rico Chico Alvarez make you shake your booty and then some. These guys might use gimmicks while on stage to put the crowd in the mood, but they are talented musicians and vocalists as well. Their vocal range is spectacular and almost frightening at times (watch your wine glasses on those high notes). And as far as sound�well, it�s hard to tell Booty Call from the real thing on most of the covers; they�ve got it down. While interviewing (if you can call it that) these funkmasters, I was never really sure what was up and what was down; they were already submerged in the p-funk aura before I sauntered back to talk to them. They definitely have a great sense of humor, which translates well up on the stage---and the ladies love them. So if you need to get up, ah, get on up, check out Booty Call; they play all over town, and even under alias on occasion... **Notables: --They reported to me that they were flying to Bath, England to perform at the very special "39th Annual Multiple Hosts Ball," whatever that might be --As they get warmer on stage, they strip off layers of clothing (within good taste, of course) --People from 21 to 51 seem to love this band SS
