In the background we see at left William-Henry's house, in the center his store and at right the building where they were curing fish. The whole property was fronting on the Baie-des-Chaleurs.

This picture was taken in front of Thomas Mill and Suzan Clapperton's house which was adjoining the Clappertons.

The girls in the chair are at left, Madeleine and Pauline grand-daughters of Suzan Clapperton and Thomas Mill. (Jessie's and Florence's daughter respectively)

We can still see the small gates in the fences where grand-mother Suzan  and her children were passing through to visit her parents next door.  (A little to the left of the tree)

The house was destroyed by fire in 1945, the store? and the big shed was demolished around the years1950.
