APWC HISTOTY

APWC, Arlington Praise and Worship Center Started in June of 1991. The 1st Sunday meeting was held at a local hotel here in Arlington, Texas. Due to the Pastors still being employed at The Men's Wearhouse and working every other Sunday; our worship time was early 8 am in order for the pastor to get to work on time. After meeting at the hotel for several months, APWC was moved to its 1st Building, 301 South Collins; a small place of about 1500 sq ft. But, the members were very happy to have a place to call home and also, a place where they could pray everyday. So pray they did; every morning early 4 am and 5 am they would pray and call on The Name of the Lord.

Around this time, God sent Dr. Garnet Budge into the life of Pastor Charles to begin to mentor and develop this young Pastor. No one had any idea where this relationship with Dr Budge, who just happen to reside in Australia, would end up. Shortly after meeting Dr Budge, Pastor Charles begin making trips to Australia. First alone and in the years to follow taking others along with him.

After a few years at 301 South Collins, APWC moved again to 605 E Border. This place was 5200 5q ft and allowed for classrooms which were much needed. This was a bold step because around this same time Pastor Charles and wife began a radio outreach program. Through this radio outreach which aired during drive time 8:30am to 9:00am many came to know and love Pastor Charles and Corrie and the Church grew!

After 3 years at this location APWC was abruptly moved from the Border Street address and started what became 25 months of wilderness wondering. APWC members didn't have a stable place to call home. Finances dropped, many people left the ministry, and it was a trying time! APWC finally ended up at a Senior Citizens Recreation Center. It was from there one Sunday morning the Lord spoke to Pastor Charles a Prophetic Word "It's Moving Time" . Pastor admonished the congregation to begin looking for a place to worship and call home. One of the Elders, Mack Paige found APWC's current home. 2440 South Collins suite #110; a 10,000 sq ft building. After much heartache, APWC members were able to begin having regular church services.

In May 2001, God put in the heart of Pastor Corrie to start a day care and name it after her mother Dora. The day care was opened and continues to be a blessing to the community with a capacity for over 100 children.

Dr Charles received his doctoracte in June of 1997 and continues to travel the world teaching and preaching The Word of God.

APWC truly has become Concerned About Reaching Everybody with the message of Jesus Christ; Across the Street and Around the world.
Psalms 23
A Psalm of David

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house
of the Lord
Forever
