DRIVER, Elizabeth Kinzie, 96, of Roanoke, passed
away Monday, March 11, 2002, at the home of her
daughter, Eleanor Arnold, in Fort Defiance, Va. She
was born February 19, 1906, the daughter of the late
Charles Kinzie and Rosa Bowman Kinzie. Her
husband, Dr. Samuel F. Driver, preceded her in death.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and
Charles Arnold of Fort Defiance, Va.; two grandsons,
Charlie Arnold, Jr. of Richmond, Sam Arnold of
Verona, Va.; three great-granddaughters; one
great-grandson; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kinzie of
Troutville, Sue Kinzie of California, Rachael Murphy of
Bridgewater; five nephews; one niece. Funeral
services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16,
2002, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Murphy Miller officiating. Interment will follow in
Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends
Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home before

DRIVER, Ruby Ralston, 85, of Roanoke,
formerly of Staunton and Conway, S.C., died
Wednesday, November 20, 2002. She was
born October 30, 1917, at Stover's Shop in
Augusta County, daughter of the late P.D.
and Martile Karicofe Ralston. She was the
widow of James L. Driver, Sr. Mrs. Driver
graduated from North River High School.
She was a diligent worker at St. Paul's
United Methodist Church in Staunton, Va.
for many years and also at Centinary United
Methodist Church in Conway, S.C. until
moving to Roanoke in 2000. Her survivors
include sons, James and his fianc�e, Bess
Price of Roanoke, Glenn and his wife, Ellie
of Staunton; grandsons, Scott and his wife,
Mary of Tulsa, Okla., Chris and his wife,
Cammie of Hickory, N.C., and Glenn and
James of Staunton; great-grandsons,
Brandon and James. Also surviving are a
brother, James Ralston and his wife, Violet;
sisters, Nancy Harlow and Johnny Rhinehart;
brothers-in-law, Lester Hershey and Dr.
Paul Woods; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Ralston
and Johnny Parrot;

Martha Driver Wenger, 92, of Waynesboro died Friday (Jan. 21, 2005) at
Augusta Medical Center following complications of a hip frac-ture.
She was born August 2, 1912, in Augusta County, daughter of Joseph R. and
Elizabeth Weaver Driver. She was a homemaker and a life-long member of
Springdale Mennonite Church, serving the church as pastor's wife and prayer warrior
for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59
years, Paul L. Wenger Sr.; one brother, Ruel Driver; and two sisters, Ruth
Burkholder and Mary Francis Showalter. She leaves behind a sister, Naomi D.
Huber of Harrisonburg; and brother, David H. Driver of Stuarts Draft. She was the
beloved mother of three sons, Paul L. Wenger Jr. of Sara-sota, Fla., Robert
D. Wenger of Kobe, Japan, and David W. Wenger of Waynesboro; and two
daughters, Ann E. Wenger of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Carol E. Wenger-Kirk of
Elkhart, Ind. She was grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 11.
A funeral service will be held at Springdale Mennonite Church at 3 p.m.
Saturday (Jan. 29, 2005) followed by burial in the church ceme-ter
