| Head: Lars Laser (Corps) Arms: Crazylegs V1 Torso, Waist and Legs: Stretcher V1 It's amazing how many men it takes just to keep one fighting man in the field. The cooks, the med techs, the general laborers, all fall into the ranks of the Support Vipers. Since Cobra is a fighting organization, with every man a warrior, even the support troops have to be armed and ready for battle. This is my first real full custom. Believe it or not, that is Stretcher's torso with the holster and marks carved off with an x-acto knife. I also carved off the ear gear on Lars, to make a generic Cobra head. I've made 2 of this guy, and some of the parts choices were dictated by the fact that I needed to have 2 of everything. The second one looks exactly the same as the first, and that makes them a decent addition to my growing Cobra forces. I really liked going back to the original Viper coloring, with Citadel royal blue and Modelmaster signal red. I went with green rather than red to distinguish them from the actual Vipers, and I think that it helps with the overall military look. The rifle that you see is also a corps gun, modified to become an AK 74. (Yes 74, not 47, they aren't completely in the dark ages, although I didn't think that they's have the best equipment available.) I find that if you look at most CORPS guns, there is a real gun hidden in there, waiting to be carved out. I might do a custom weapons section on the site in the future. |
