God. I ask that you be with this child throughout his journey of life. Hold his hand as he experiences the joys, sorrows, wonders, challenges and opportunities of life.. Be with him as he grows in mind, body and spirit.As we assume our responsibilities and celebrate our joy at being given the gift of a grandchild. Grant us the wisdom to be good grandparents and help us to know the difference between trying too hard and trying too little.
Most gracious Father of us all, I ask that you extend your hand unto this child's heart that his faith might always be stronger than his fear.
Lord help us, who love him, to teach him compassion and love that he may touch the lives of those fellow travelers he meets on life's pathways and thus make a difference for having lived.
Lord, Arthor of each of our journeys, guide him through the process of life's discoveries and help him to make good decisions and wise choices. Help him to find something he loves more than himself and therein open his gifts, talents, dreams and energies.
Father, we ask you to watch over this child and when he fails, we ask you to lift him up and give him strength to continue his journey. Lord: let him know how much he will be loved.
Our father, we thank thee in Jesus name for the gift of a child in our lives
