Grandma knows you weren't a *little* boy like the one in the snowglobe , after all you had gotten to be just a little taller than me but it was the name of the snowglobe "Precious Memories" that caused me to choose it for this page. I have so very, very many precious memories of you. Of the joy and pure pleasure and love that you added to my life. Memories that I will treasure all my life. Memories of when you were just a tiny baby (my punkydoodle) and being amazed at how much love my heart would swell up with when I held you, of how you loved to bite on a fried chicken gizzard instead of a teething ring when you were cutting your teeth ,of how those uncles of yours would strap you down in your stroller and race around the property with you squealing with glee Of watching you grow, learning to crawl, talk and then toddling around on those little bare feet. How you hated to wear shoes. And as I sit here thinking back over the years and the memories are tumbling through my head >>>>> of walks in the woods; finding wildflowers and picking up nature objects for Grandma's arrangements, you always wanting to get a glimpse of a deer, rabbit,or squirrel and our wonder in watching the birds and the butterflies. Dear heart you had such an eye for seeing the beauty in nature The cutsey little one of a kind slippers and gloves or mittens I would crochet for you every year Your beautiful, beautiful loved filled and awe seeing dancing blue eyes Of growing "baby" vegetable in the garden The strawberry patch and your "strawberry cereal",you squishing the strawberries to make home made strawberry jam and you *sharing* passing out the strawberries you had picked one strawberry at a time as around the living room you went .of you sitting on my kitchen counter top with your feet in the sink *brushing* the *hair* off the corn cobs You swinging in the wopsided rope swing Grampaw made for you and you just squealing as those crazy uncles of yours pushed you so *high* Going to Big K for coffee with Grampaw Of the camping trips we took and when you were the only one to catch supper for us at Little Black Creek Waterpark going to the zoo, playing in the park shopping for and planting flowers and watching them grow and bloom, Of popping popcorn, making wop biscuit donuts ,singing songs, you having to sleep "on Grandmas *arm*,"you feeding Dinky and making him *talk to me Danky* for each piece of food, having weenie roasts in the back yard, of having to wash you off with the water hose after you had been playing in the mud, before you could come in the house 'playing videos games ,putting puzzles together and then sharing our computer games. Oh and that crazy water blaster fight you and Dalton and Grampaw had INSIDE the house You got Grampaw good that day.Of our trip to Rock City and Ruby Falls. Tee-ball and then baseball and later basketball How you were counting the days until spring training started for your first year of football Sorry you didnt live to do that one hun , fishing tournaments and hunting trips (Supertracker you were on the last one you went on with Uncle Mike),riding bicyles, rollerblading, skating parties, clubhousing and jumping on that trampoline were added to the things you loved to do And how you did love the video games and then the computer.
