The daycare center that Andy used to go to made a tribute and gave it to his mother I would like to share this touching tribute with you

In Memory of Andy  Slade

Many of you do not remember Andy Slade. Andy was a student at Little
Ones a few years ago. He was in the first "official" graduation of students at
the center. He was a kind, quiet, respectful  and just what any parent or
teacher would consider as the model child.  Shortly after the graduation he
moved to Vidalia, Louisiana.  He was a sixthe grade student at Vidalia Junioor
High School and a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Andy lost his life as a result of an accident on January 27th, 2001.  He was
the son of Carla Ratcliff and Donnie Slade.  His grandparents are Don and
Kathy Slade of Hattiesburg.

Andy was a special person to me and is remembered for his special caring
and love for his brother Dalton, as well as other chjildren at the center.  When
word of his death was received at the center all the memories of the special
times of his life were revived.  He was a child who enjoyed the act of
play but was also eager to learn through the work activities of class.  His
face always beamed with joy when his grandfather arrived to [pick him up
because there was a special bond between them.

It was sad to have to say goodbye when he left the center and it was sad to
say goodbye when he left this life but knowing he had a relationship with
God made the final goodbye easier.

He will always hold a special place in my heart because of our relationship
in his short life.

Parents please appreciate the time God has allowed you to be with your
child because no one ever knows how long you will have with them.

Your children need your presence more than your presents

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion
on those who fear him.  Psalm 103:13
