David Reese has recently moved to Michigan's Copper Country from the Detroit area where he performed with the Livonia Symphony Orchestra, Southern Great Lakes Symphony Orchestra, Southfield Symphony Orchestra, Dick Murphy's Big Band and other local groups. David who holds a Bachelor of String Bass Performance from Wayne State University, was once a member of the house orchestra at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

Now living and working in the town of Laurium, David is the Principal String Bassist for the Keewenaw Symphony Orchestra, Co-Principal String Bassist for the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Realtime Jazz Band. When he is not performing or rehearsing, David is busy teaching both jazz and classical bass to the aspiring young bassists of the Copper Country.

David also enjoys woodworking, gardening, bicycling, and collecting antiques.
