| Note: The famous Al Blozis is number 38 in the above photo. He went on to star at Georgetown U. then the NY GIants in 1942 and 1943. He was inducted into the Army in December, 1943. While at Ft. Benning 2nd Lt. Blozis set the record for throwing a hand grenade, 94 yards, 2 feet, 6.5 inches. He was killed in France in January, 1945, while searching for two of his men that failed to return from patrol. The NY Giants retired his number, 32. |
