| Some
souvenirs of work and life within the Department of Public Administration of the Faculty of Management of the University |

| Life in the
Department was most interesting. I had the privilege of being its
second Head of Department after the pioneer Prof Ariyapala Ekanayake. The Department was strong in team spirit. We worked ... I don't believe we need to go into details of such. We had much camaraderie among ourselves. Yes, our get togethers ... occasional special meals together ... going out on trips/picnics also with the families etc. |

| Different
members of the team worked evidently on a variety of subjects. Charles
concentrated on computing. When he started work the university lab had
20-odd 32K micros. But we started ... and built up gradually moving
into larger labs and better equipment. Of course the staff worked together also supporting additional work of the students ... e.g. with regard to the exhibition organised by them about the topic of 'Public Administration'. |
