Some mother's children show their love
To them each and ever day,
Yet there's many mothers everywhere
That gets no visits or stay.
Lord, this world is living in such a pace
That children never take time to tell,
Their precious dear mothers, "I love you"
And "Mother I'm wishing you well".
But when their mother's life is over
And they view her body so still,
They'll cry as she lay amoung the flowers
And they'll want so badly to kneel.
Yes, kneel and say, "Mother I love you"
Although I never took time to say,
"Oh mother pease forgive me
For all wrongs in ever way."
But listen children everywhere
And before it's too late,
Let mother know how much you care
Before she has entered "Heaven's Gate."
Think back at times you spent
Chasing wild dreams to and fro,
Lusting for what your heart desired
And forgetting that God does know.
And you went to church on Sunday
When there was nowhere else to go,
Where you confessed God as your savior
But Lord I wonder if this was so.
If their hearts were truly right
Mothers would be remembered more,
At least children could send pretty flowers
Like those planted by their mother's door.
Lord I know your plans for us
Is to show our love each day,
Giving love is our most important gift
As we walk down "life's" pathway.
Lord work on the hearts of children
That's not taking time to show,
Cheerful love to their precious mothers
Before God call for them to go.
Like a beautiful flower that fades and die
Mother's life blossoms,then passes on,
Then there'll be no time to say "I love You"
When she's rejoicing in her "Heavenly Home".
No more sadness for her to bear
And no more heartaches to endure,
She'll be walking street of pure goal
Where God's love is everlasting and pure.
