The Brandnew Me

Today I'm not like I use to be
Now got me some sophistication with some dignity
I've changed,it shows and I wanted you to know
That I'm up on matters and have smarts to show

I'm painted over with a clean coat of character
The kind that don't peel but last forever
I picked a brandnew me fresh off the shelf
One with a lifetime warranty good beyond death

I sent my personality off to Sunday school
To study and learn the golden rule
I'm polishing friendship with love and charity
To bring out that brandnew me clarity

I've traded wrongs for rights to get invested
Into a lifetime of truth where deception is rested
If I should stray from what I'm suppose to be
I pray God to return me to my brandnew me
