My First Love

By EJ of the great smoky mountain of North Carolina

April 02, 2005

Thoughts of you makes my heart race
Longing to gaze upon Your face;
To feel the brush of Your loving hand,
Quenching the thirst of love's demand.

Breathless am I as You pass by
Your aroma lingers as an azure sky;
Dew drops dripping from massive pine
Or vapors of a sweet, mellow wine.

I will be veiled in clean, pure white;
A token of truth; purity in Your sight.
My heart beat violently and very loud
Knowing you eyed me amidst the crowd;

Now that I'm chosen as your bride-to-be
I'll pray to God in all sincerity
That our hearts will go on forever
Till end of time while loving each other
