Goals

In the next year
Anthony Robbins in his Personal Power tape series says choose three to accomplish in the next year and write a paragraph about why I am absolutely committed to achieving this goal. The year's up September 2004. Here goes:

Learn to Draw
I must learn this one because it's where I want to go. I want to leave a set of hero's journey cards behind when I finally leave this planet, in the hopes that they wlil be a help to others on their path.
Develop personality, social skills and sense of self
Is that too much in one goal? It's all part of becoming a real person, not being afraid of people, making and keeping friends. It's about having something to say. It's being something more than an easily forgotten nobody. This is what makes life interesting.
Develop skills as an HTML developer
This one is so I can become more worthwhile to my company and continue to deserve raises. More importantly, it's to increase my satisfaction in the job and make me more capable of leaving someday to travel and support myself.
Comtinue to be a good mother
I love being a mom. It doesn't come naturally to me, though. It takes time and thought and reading. The girls are teens now and I need to change my style to accommodate their new maturity.

"You're only here to have a fabulous life. That's it. However you define great and fabulous. That is what you're here for. You're not here to settle. You're not here to fulfill somebody else's dream. You're not here to have an OK-mediocre-"I got through it" life. It's to thrill you. So that you can have on your tombstone, "It was beyond my wildest dreams and I wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world."
