| What am I Doing to Improve My Situation? I am seeking Community Resources. I have been working with a family advocate for Young Mothers. She has been helping me search for useful resources to improve my situation. But it defeats the main purpose of my goal. My main goal is to save money- to move out of NY to another state that isn't as expensive to live in therefore I wont be in the hole no more, to get my past due bills paid up before leaving... and to live by myself. She has helped me get the job I have now. She has helped me gain things such as diapers, wipes and food for my son. But that's just about all that she can do. She has tried to help me gain assistance through DSS but they have refused me claiming I make too much money. To improve my situation I'm going to pay off my debt, stay ahead and finsih school as soon as I move out of New York. With the job I have now I can transfer.. there are hundreds of R Us stores located all over the US. Great conviance. More Questions? Please feel free to email me... I might post it here where as, this is the first time having something like this for me... so I'm not sure what exactly you might want to know. Just for Your Info. I started my R Us job in the end of May- previously working at a diner the bussiness slowed down to the point that I was making a $40 paycheck and bringing home $10-20 a night in tips. Not Good! My First 2 paychecks have totaled to $152.00 all together. I will keep you updated on a weekly basis so You know how much I'm making and where it's going.
