About Me

I was born and raised in the Dallas Area. I graduated from South Garland High School in 1999. As far as my softball pitching experience, I began pitching when I was in 10 and under. I got really serious at 11 years old and went to the Herb Dudley pitching clinic held in Garland. That is pretty much where I got all my mechanics. From then on, I played on tournament teams. In high school, I was first team All-District two years and second team one year. The other year I was out with an injury and unable to participate.

My biggest pitching accomplishment was when I was asked to play a tournament in Holland with a team representing the US the summer after my sophomore year. During high school, I was able to travel around and outside of the country pitching. However, I decided not to take any scholarships and focus more on school during college. I went to Oklahoma Christian University and, realizing how much I missed the sport, joined the team for one season before moving back to TX to get married and live with my husband.

I am currently a senior at UTA in the school of education, getting my degree in kinesiology so that I can teach (science, hopefully) and coach softball. My husband is actually a softball coach at Mansfield High. We don't have any kids (yet...), but we do have a dog!

So, now you know a little bit of my background. I really look forward to working with you! Pitching can really take you places if you work hard, which is why I love to teach.
